Aries (March 21-April 19)
iStock / miniseriesAries are known for their fearless sense of adventure, and an Aries cat is no different. “Always eager to take charge and explore their surroundings, they love to learn new things and show off their skills, making them great candidates for learning tricks," says McGee.
And along with being brave, Aries cats are very smart. So, don’t be surprised if they start recruiting your other pets into their mischief.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
iStock / niuniuWhen it comes to the classic cat stereotype, this sign fits it best. “Taurus cats can be quite stubborn at times, refusing to budge from their chosen spot or protesting changes to their daily routine," explains McGee. And if you think you can motivate them with treats or toys, think again.
"However, they are also incredibly loyal and loving to their humans, often forming strong bonds that last a lifetime," adds McGee.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

And like any other Gemini, they are incredibly opinionated. So, if something isn’t going the way they want, they’ll be sure to chime in and let you know.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
iStock / SpiderplayIf you’re looking for a cat who’s loyal and affectionate, you’ll find your perfect match in a Cancer. “Cancer cats are such sweethearts and natural nurturers. They love to cuddle up with their humans for comfort and warmth,” says McGee.
They may be shy around new people or environments at first, but given enough time, they open up. Plus, Cancer cats are more than happy to keep you company when you decide to stay in on a Friday night.

Leo (July 23-August 23)
iStock / niuniuLeo cats are dramatic, entertaining, and energetic. “They're the kings and queens of the household, with a regal presence and a love for the spotlight. They demand attention and affection from their humans, and they'll happily bask in the glow of adoration,” shares McGee.
They're also born with the same protective instincts found in lions, which means they’re deeply loyal to both their owners and other pets.
Virgo (August 23-September 23)
iStock / tihomir_todorovVirgo cats are incredibly independent and can be particular about keeping their daily routine the same. In fact, most days it’ll feel like your feline friend is the one running the show!
But don't be fooled by their aloof exterior. As McGee points out, Virgo cats are incredibly affectionate when nobody is watching and will show their love through subtle gestures like a gentle headbutt or tiny kisses.

Libra (September 23-October 22)
iStock / w-ingsIf your cat is a Libra, chances are they have a very charming and sociable nature. These cats love human company and thrive in environments with other animals and children. And even if it’s just you and your Libra cat, you’ll find a best friend forever.
But despite their extroverted personality, "Libra cats do best in calm and peaceful environments," shares McGee. "They're sensitive to changes in their surroundings and may become anxious or upset if there's too much chaos or noise."
Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
iStock / Burak Can OztasIf your cat is a Scorpio, they are intense and passionate, with a mysterious aura that might make them seem impartial at first.
“Scorpio cats are famously territorial and assertive when they’re placed outside their element, [so] they don’t do well with changes,” McGee explains. “But once they've established a bond with their humans, they're incredibly loving and affectionate.” They'll protect their owners and fellow pets at all costs.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
iStock / marieclaudelemayThese kitties are pretty easy to spot, thanks to their free-spirited and fun-loving personalities. “Sagittarius cats stand out with their independence and curiosity," notes McGee. "Their love for adventure and exploration makes them incredibly curious and may get [them] into mischief if left unattended."
They're also very sharp, so if you want to teach them tricks or leash-train them to go outside, a Sagittarius cat would be the perfect student.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19)
Brycia James/iStockIf your cat is a Capricorn, what you see is what you get. Much like their human counterparts, they're highly disciplined and focused. They like to be the ones running the show, even if they let you think you’re the one in charge.
“These cats tend to be incredibly shy at first and like to take their time easing into a new environment,” explains McGee. “But once they feel at home, they naturally fall into the role of fearless leader and protector.”

Aquarius (January 20-February 18)
iStock / Photographer and IllustratorWhen it comes to these cats, their quirky and eccentric personalities will be the first thing you notice. “Aquarius cats are truly one in a million," says McGee. "They’re known for their unusual habits or preferences because they enjoy existing outside the norm."
For these reasons, Aquarian felines have a strong sense of self, so it's not uncommon for them to behave more like a dog or even a human than a cat.
Pisces (February 19-March 20)
iStock / w-ingsIf you’re looking for a furry friend who loves taking catnaps and snuggling all night long, you’ll find your perfect match in this sign. “Pisces cats are sensitive and empathetic, with a deep emotional connection to their humans,” McGee says.
But that doesn't mean they're always lazing around. “They're also very creative and may enjoy playing with toys in unique ways or inventing new games," McGee adds.
