"When you spend your entire life worrying, you learn to live with fear," Tara Bennet, astrologer, clairvoyant, and spiritual coach at Mediumchat, explains.
According to Bennet, cowardice usually becomes the "driving force" in the life of a Virgo, as "the fear in their blood pushes them to raise the bar higher and higher."
5 | Taurus
iStockFor a Taurus, their disposition toward stability and comfort is what leads to their cowardliness.
"Taureans are creatures of habit," says Raquel Rodriguez, astrologer and founder of Your Zodiac. "They thrive in familiar surroundings and are reluctant to embrace new and unknown circumstances."
This means it takes a lot to push this sign to gather the courage to step out of their comfort zone, adds Stina Garbis, astrologer and owner of Psychic Stina.
"Taurus is not the type of sign that will go out on a ledge or dare to try something new," Garbis explains. "They like to sit home and think about it instead."

4 | Pisces

As a result, "they often find harsh realities and conflicts unsettling," she says. "So to protect their delicate emotional balance, they prefer to avoid confrontations."
Bennet says this zodiac sign is more likely to go with the flow rather than take the chance and step out of line—no matter what the benefits might be.
"These fish are sensitive souls who don’t have the courage to take risks," Bennet notes.
3 | Libra

But this doesn't mean they actually prefer having to keep the peace. Instead, they'd rather it never be disrupted in the first place.
"The thought of conflict and disharmony can be daunting for them, which might cause them to back away from confrontational situations," Rodriguez further explains. "This can be perceived as cowardly behavior, but in essence, it’s their quest for peace and equilibrium that motivates this avoidance."

2 | Capricorn

"Capricorns assess all the possible outcomes before making a decision, which can slow down their response and make them appear hesitant or overly cautious," she says.
According to Bennet, this zodiac sign's cowardice is most noticeable when outside factors are putting their stability or security at risk.
"Capricorns are careful with their finances and guard their home and work life," she explains. "Their caution is born out of fear for their future."

Due to a high sense of vulnerability, this zodiac sign is ready to hide behind its hard shell at the first sign of trouble.
"Cancers guard their emotions carefully and run for cover if they find themselves challenged or in a high-stress situation," Bennet adds.
