If someone says they shop at Aldi, you likely assume that’s where they stock up on fresh produce, canned goods, bakery items, milk, and other groceries. However, the discount grocery chain also sells paper products, baby items, outdoor essentials, decor (such as candles and cookware), cleaning products (like laundry supplies), and much more—including makeup! In fact, Aldi is slowly becoming a go-to destination for name-brand makeup dupes. Shoppers on TikTok have found cheaper alternatives for Urban Decay, Tarte, and Benefit Cosmetics, noting they work nearly the same. Find out which dupes are worth your money here.

Urban Decay is widely popular for its eyeshadow palettes, sold under the brand name Naked. However, they don’t come cheap. Depending on size (mini or full) and iteration, Naked palettes can run you anywhere from $35 to $59 each. But more recently, sharp-eyed shoppers have spotted Naked dupes at Aldi for just $5.99 a pop.

The dupe eyeshadow palettes are made by Aldi’s in-house beauty brand, Lacura. They come in four shades, including Smoky, Nectar, Two (consists of more brown/neutral tones, plus some glitter), and Three (features purple shades). According to TikToker @livebest33_2.0, “the brushes these [palettes] come with are really good,” so save yourself a trip to the drugstore and scratch “get new brushes” off your list.

“She’s gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous!” she said of the Lacura palettes in a shopping haul video.

If you have short, straight lashes, you might’ve heard of Benefit’s They’re Real! Lengthening Mascara, a volumizing formula that leaves even the shortest of lashes perky and glossy. The eye makeupgoes for $29 at Sephora, but shoppers say Aldi’s $3.99 dupe works just as well.

Lacura’s They’re Brilliant Mascara is available in regular and waterproof versions. The mascara aims to “extend, lift, [and] volumize” lashes, and it’s sweat-, smudge-, and play-proof, per its description in TikToker @ashleyandblairbeauty’s video.

“I picked this up last year, and I really liked it,” shared content creator @wifeyrella in a TikTok. “I would definitely give it a try, especially for the price.”

Dupe for Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

Of all of Lacura’s products, “the concealer is my favorite,” said @ashleyandblairbeauty, who dubbed it a dupe for Tarte’s Shape Tape Concealer. Priced at $5.99, the Lacura Bold Color Concealer comes in an assortment of shades for a personalized fit. “This concealer is really good,” she added. Plus, it’s $27 cheaper than Tarte’s version.

However, if you’re sensitive to fragrances or prefer unscented makeup products, proceed with caution. “I didn’t know they were so perfume-y. I don’t mind the smell because it’s like wearing a perfume, but does it need to be that scented?” asked TikToker @wifeyrella. “The scent blew me away.”

Fragrance aside, the concealer is worth trying. “If full coverage is what you’re going for, I think this could work for you,” she said.
