The results are in: Shoppers aren’t impressed by the Bath & Body Works x Disney fragrances. In a Reddit thread, customers admitted they were “disappointed” by the collection, which one person called "weak and generic."
"I’m in store now and none of this is grabbing me," wrote one person from their Bath & Body Works location.
A shopper compared the Moana fragrance to "Malibu Rum," while another said the Tiana scent "smells like Playdoh and a pond of frogs."
"I got Cinderella, Ariel and Belle and I’m planning to return all of them. They just don’t smell good. Belle is too Rosy, Cinderella is underwhelming and Ariel is way too strong for me," one user reported.
TikToker PL Smells (@plsmells) told followers that Ariel "smells like hairspray," Belle is "the grossest one," and Cinderella’s fragrance is a "DIY migraine."
"As I expected, Bath & Body Works’ notes are tone deaf. Five out of six of these are barely in the ballpark," he said in a review video.
TikToker Emily Meyers (@emilynnmeyers) also had conflicting feelings about the Disney fragrances. "Okay, we aren't starting off strong here," she told followers after sampling Cinderella.
All said and done, Jasmine came out on top, followed by Belle for Meyers. While she likes the Moana scent, Meyers said it’s super light and could be a fragrance that wears off quickly, especially during the summer.
