Grandma Tina Knowles shared the story behind the photoshoot.

It's hard to steal the show from Beyoncé, but if anyone can do it, it's her nine-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Beyoncé and Blue Ivy both modeled for the singer's latest Ivy Park clothing collection with Adidas. The new collection, called Icy Park, features ski gear and winter coats, as well as the usual bodysuits, leggings, and accessories. A video for the new collection shows a wide array of models, standing in a line, with the famous mother and daughter featured among them.

Blue Ivy's grandma and Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, shared some behind-the-scenes scoop about how Blue Ivy got involved in the campaign—and spoiler alert, it wasn't planned. Blue wasn't supposed to be in the campaign.

Knowles shared a clip of Blue Ivy from the video on her Instagram account and explained that Blue decided for herself that she was going to take part.

"My Beautiful grandbaby Blue Ivy looking like a little supermodel in her Ivy Park," Knowles wrote. "Swing your hair Blue!!!!! She inserted herself into this shoot. No she was not supposed to be in it! She was just hanging out and got dressed and I guess she said, 'I'm not gonna tell you what I could do, I’m gonna show you' I love that aggressive spirit My Blue Blue!!!!"

She makes two standout appearances.

Beyoncé is shown multiple times in the video for Icy Park, and Blue Ivy appears twice. First, she models shiny tan pants with a brown patterned jacket while she swings her hair back and forth and gives a double peace sign. Then, she pops up again in a pair of logo-printed pants with a matching coat as she pulls the big hood over her face.

Blue Ivy also appeared in a video for Ivy Park back in the fall. In Oct. 2020, Beyoncé released a video for another collection that had an aerobics video theme.

It also featured voiceover from the 39-year-old singer about her experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. At one point, she's shown in a bubble bath while wearing Ivy Park x Adidas shoes. "I tried to make sure I got five minutes by myself in the bathtub every day," Beyoncé says. "It was still difficult, and I still heard, 'Mommy! Mommy!'" That's when we see Blue peeking in the bathroom door.

In a section of the video about Ivy Park, she shared images that showed her three-year-old twins Rumi and Sir having their own Ivy Park photoshoot in mini versions of the clothes.
