VogueThough Washington may be excited about what the years to come have in store, she’s also been vocal about how taking care of herself—and her skin in particular—has been an important part of her journey toward self-acceptance.
“I do think of my skincare routine as self-love,” Washington told Vogue in a Dec. 2020 video interview, in which she detailed her multi-step skincare routine, which includes everything from a rosewater aura mist to an SPF serum. “Self-care isn’t about fixing yourself or twisting yourself into a pretzel to please other people. It’s really about being the best version of you.” And for more celebrities celebrating big birthdays this year, check out 50 Celebrities Who Are Turning 50 This Year.
