Adorable Dog Loves Taking Baths In the Kitchen Sink, Goes Viral

Franklin the Golden Retriever is one super chill pup.

This is Franklin. As you can plainly see, he is a Very Good Boy.

But, like many pups, this 11-month-old golden retriever from Washington D.C. does not enjoy bath time.

"Being a retriever, baths are not an easy situation," Anam Rahman, his human, told The Dodo. "He loves to play at the park and the one close to my house has a mulchy bottom so anytime he goes there, especially if there's been a little rain, he needs a bath afterwards."

Rahman is an attorney, so she operates on a pretty tight schedule. One day, she was in a hurry to get out of the house, so she plopped him into the kitchen sink to give him a quick rinse-off.

"The sink just happened as a necessity because I didn't have time to give him a full bath," she said. "It was so much easier because I could do his paws and his underbelly and I didn't have to wash his entire back."

Turns out, he loves it. "He's generally super chill and happy in the kitchen, it's a much more open space and it's just better for everyone involved," Rahman said. "Occasionally I'll give him a full bath, but otherwise the sink has been a great alternative."

Recently, Rahman posted a photo of the 66-pound pup joyfully awaiting his bath, his arm poised as though he's sitting in the hot tub and just minutes away from stealing yo' girl.

The photo got picked up by the WeRateDogs account, where it quickly went viral.

And while a lot of commenters accused the image of being Photoshopped, Rahman is here to tell you it's 100 percent real.

"It's been so funny reading the comments because people think it's like a trick sink," Rahman said. "Some people think he was Photoshopped in there, but it's not anything out of the ordinary at all, he's comfortably in there."

Besides, if you check out Franklin's Instagram account, you'll see that, like many dogs, this little guy has a lust for life that enables him to be thrilled about virtually anything he does, and has been since he was a puppy.

He's excited about his lion costume.

He's excited about autumn leaves.

And he's super pumped about this stick.

Not to mention, his first Christmas is almost here!
