Woman Who Went Viral for Her Photo with Fake Michael B. Jordan Just Met the Real Thing

Dreams do come true.

Last week, one Twitter user went viral after she said that she met a girl on a dinner cruise in Hawaii in 2006 and asked to be retweeted so the two besties could be reunited. Thanks to the magic of the Internet, it took less than 12 hours for them to find each other, and many people found the story so heartwarming they were inspired to craft a similar post to relocate long-lost friends.

However, the viral plea also turned into somewhat of a meme, like this dude who wrote he met a $100 bill "on a dinner cruise in Hawaii in 2006. We were basically best friends for that night so I need y'all to help me find my best friend cause I miss him and I need to see how he's doing now. Please retweet this so we can be reunited."

In one particularly hilarious example, Twitter user @BeeBabs asked to be "reunited" with Michael B. Jordan, using a brazenly badly photoshopped image of them together and a caption that said, "I met this guy on holiday this summer—we had a such a great connection but I changed my number and we lost touch. Twitter do your thing."

At present, it has almost 20,000 retweets and 129,000 likes. It appears Mr. Jordan himself saw it and found it very amusing.

Then, she attended a Q&A for his new movie, Creed II, and had the courage to get up and ask a question about the portrayal of love and tenderness in the film, as well as out herself as the "weird girl" that photoshopped a photo of the two of them together that subsequently went viral. His response? "We gotta get a real picture now."

And that they did.

As far as the Internet is concerned, Jordan is in love with his Black Panthers co-star Lupita Nyong'o, and only has eyes for her.

But whether or not the meeting results in any kind of a romance is unimportant. What matters is that she shot her shot, and she scored.

And, whatever happens next, @BeeBabs is, quite rightfully, pretty pleased with herself.
