Aquarians have a strong sense of justice and are always looking for ways to create positive change in the world. They stay true to their beliefs and don’t care if they’re standing alone.

“This unwavering dedication to their ideals can make them appear stubborn or uncompromising, giving off an impression of hostility when their ideas are challenged,” says Rachel Clare, a professional astrologist at Mystic Sense.

As an air sign, Aquarius is quite intellectual and communicative. They love engaging in stimulating conversations and debates, but can come across as argumentative in the heat of the moment.

Gemini is represented by the twins, and it’s this duality that makes them unpredictable. “They can be friendly one minute and hostile the next,” says Bennet.

They’re fast talkers, so they need to be in situations where that energy is matched. If they’re bored or under-stimulated, they may lash out unintentionally. Bennet notes that their temper is short lived, but their hostility can be dragged out when they feel passionately about something.

Capricorns are natural leaders with a no-nonsense approach to life. Their personality is influenced by Saturn, the planet of discipline and structure, so they don’t have time for people who don’t take things seriously like they do.

“They are known for their strong work ethic, unwavering focus, and dedication to their goals,” says Clare. “This can make them seem a bit distant or aloof at times, as they are often absorbed in their own pursuits.”

They’re very determined individuals and have high standards for themselves. Ultimately, their vibe is more off-putting—especially if you struggle to keep up with their pace.

Aries are known for being quite the fiery spirits. Unlike other signs, they live for confrontation and are always ready to charge full speed ahead for what they want.

They always have their eyes on the prize and do not take graciously to losing. “They’re aggressive by nature and understand that there will be casualties on their journey to success,” says Bennet.

As hot-headed rams who lack a filter, it’s no surprise that Aries are probably more hostile than those around them.

Scorpio is ruled by both Mars and Pluto, two intense planets that exude power and transformation. “It's like having a double dose of fiery energy that can make Scorpios assertive and fearless in pursuing what they want,” says Clare. They’re also sensitive water signs, and it’s this dangerous combination that makes them the most hostile zodiac sign.

These folks don’t open up as easily as other people, but they’re actually quite emotional, especially if you know them well enough. And if they feel their character is being attacked in any way, they will be thinking of ways they can retaliate.

Their feelings can get really strong really fast. “They can experience intense waves of passion, jealousy, and possessiveness, which might lead to occasional outbursts or displays of hostility,” says Clare.
