They don't get heated too easily, but if they're feeling a lot of pressure, their feisty side is bound to show up.

"Their intellectual energy can sometimes lead to feisty debates or arguments, especially when they feel passionately about a topic," says Rachel Clare, a professional astrologist at Mystic Sense.

They're not afraid of going against the grain and doing their own thing—and they like to keep it that way.

As a water sign, Scorpio is emotional yet intuitive, and can pick up on the intentions and feelings of others quickly. But all of those emotions can make them moody and unpredictable at times. "One minute they're calm and collected, and the next they're ready to pounce," says Clare.

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, the planet of transformation and power, and Mars, the planet war of and action, which makes for a feisty combination. They don't tolerate any nonsense or disrespect, and can become quite aggressive if they feel provoked.

Always-down-for-a-chat Gemini talks to new people like their life depends on it. They're known for their quick wit and will always sneak a joke into a conversation whenever they can. Pus, they are ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication and intellect, so they love learning new things from those around them.

"But that love for communication can also make them a bit feisty," says Clare. "Geminis are not afraid to speak their minds and can be quite argumentative if they feel like their ideas are being challenged."

These air signs are also known for their duality— you can never quite pin them down. One minute they're focused on one thing, and the next is a total 180 to something else. They might have a lot going on inside their heads, but they can easily turn that into something successful. They have a boatload of spunk, and don't want to let their ideas go to waste.

Leos love to be the center of attention. They're fiery and can amp up their feisty side real quick, especially if someone is trying to steal their spotlight.

"When pushed, Leos are no pussy cats," Bennet says. "These lions will fight tooth and claw to defend their loved ones or protect a bruised ego."

They're a fixed sign, which means they're even more determined and persistent than most. If someone stands in their way of getting what they want, they'll push back harder. Their behavior might be over the top, but Leo doesn't like to lose. You definitely want to help keep their feistiness under control or you might get burned.

As the first sign of the zodiac, as well as a fire sign, Aries loves nothing more than blazing a trail. They are fearless leaders who don't give up easily. Like Scorpio, they are also governed by fiery Mars, so they certainly have some spark to their personality.
