The "stage was calling," so she had no choice but to answer. At least, that's how Cher explained her surprise runway appearance at Balmain's spring 2023 show on Sept. 28. The 76-year-old singer and actor closed out the show, which was part of Paris Fashion Week, appearing alongside designer Olivier Rousteing and rocking a skin-tight metallic bodysuit. Cher walked the runway in a bodysuit and platform boots.

She wore a bodysuit with shoulder pads paired with leggings, both of which were printed with a marble-like design. The look was paired with platform boots. As reported by Women's Wear Daily, Cher walked out to her song "Strong Enough," and joined Rousteing on the runway. The two embraced before walking off together to cheers from the crowd.
She was shouted out as an inspiration for the line.

Also, on the Balmain Instagram account, there's a Vitruvian Man-style drawing of a person who appears to be Cher. The post is captioned, "SHE IS THE BLUE PRINT."
Cher had the "best time" appearing in the show.
Cher raved about the experience on Twitter and explained why she took part.
"JUST HAD BEST TIME, ON STAGE…FELT GREAT," she wrote. "SHOW WAS PROBABLY BEST FASHION SHOW 'EVER' MODELS WERE BEAUTY FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSE. CLOTHES 2 DIE 4..OLIVIER 2 DIE 4"
She added, "STAGE WAS CALLING ME cher…..oh cher….come Home….I HEAR YOU."
Fans are going wild for the surprise appearance.

One fan wrote, "You have no idea how my heart jumped when I saw that, how I screamed and how I cried tears of pride! My Queen, my Supernova, my Everything PLS COME BACK ON OTHER STAGES, WE MISS YOU MORE THAN I COULD EVER MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND IT IN 1 TWEET."
To this, Cher responded, "It’s been Hard for me. I’ve Feared I might not….. BUT SKIPPING DOWN THE RUNWAY MADE ME THINK WOMAN…PULL UP YOUR BIG GIRL G-STRING, & DO YOUR BEST."
