Brooke Shields is a proud mom of two teenage daughters—18-year-old Rowan Henchy and 15-year-old Grier Henchy, who she shares with her husband of 20 years, screenwriter Chris Henchy. And she was extra proud this weekend when her older daughter, Rowan, decided to head to prom in a dress Shields wore to a special event more than two decades earlier. Read on to see more of Rowan in her mom's red gown.

Rowan's prom dress was the dress Shields wore to the 1998 Golden Globes.

"I thought it was a special night when I was nominated for a Golden Globe and wore this dress in 1998, but nothing could have prepared me to see my daughter wearing it to her prom," Shields wrote in her Instagram caption on June 5 along with three photos: one of her and Rowan before prom, one of Rowan in the dress, and one of Shields in the dress in 1998.
Shields ended her caption with a red heart and exclaimed she was a "proud mama!"

Shields recently praised the woman Rowan has become on Instagram.
In honor of Rowan's 18th birthday, Shields posted a series of photos of her through the years, but she was even more sentimental last year.
"Look how grown up my baby has become," Shields wrote along with two baby photos and one current photo of Rowan on her 17th birthday. "Happy Birthday to my Smart, Beautiful, Kind, Generous, Discerning, Strong, Funny, Cheeky, Loyal, Versatile, Courageous, Unstoppable, No BS daughter. You truly inspire me."
Shields says her daughters have helped her embrace her body.
Shields told People in October that Rowan and Grier have helped her feel comfortable in her own skin, something she's struggled with since her early years as a child actor and model.
"My daughters say I'm curvy. To them curvy is different. I watch them celebrate it," she told People. "I'm learning from them and they always say you're better off with something that shows your body rather than a muumuu."
In an interview with Porter in 2018, Shields said her daughters are "so much more mature than I was" and "so much more confident in their own bodies." She added: "They have the same stubbornness and strength that I do, but are more well-adjusted."
Rowan also taught her mom something a little less serious in quarantine.
In May 2020, Rowan introduced her mom to TikTok by trying out a viral challenge on her. In the prank, the person in the driver's seat of a car grabs a bag from the backseat and "accidentally" hits the passenger in the front seat with it. Unfortunately, Rowan's attempt ended up giving her mom a fat lip.
"I love humor, and I love getting called out as long as it's not mean-spirited," Shields told Today in Feb. 2021, pointing out that Rowan was very apologetic. "And I really believe that she didn't mean it to hurt. I was just so happy she wanted me to do anything with her on TikTok because I am so not cool."
