Mom's Tweet Perfectly Captures the Reality of Being in Your 30s, Goes Viral

"Why is every single light on? Do I look like I'm made of money?"

It's natural to set timelines for yourself when it comes to major life milestones. You may expect to buy a home in your 20s, have children in your 30s, and retire in your 60s, for example. Well, on Friday, writer Anne Thériault tweeted out a few things very woman should be doing by the age of 35. And the list—which included developing "a library of sighs" and frequently asking, "Do I look like I'm made of money?"—has really resonated with people.

Her list got more than 7,000 retweets and 57,000 likes in the three days since it was originally posted. So it's safe to say that women in their 30s—particularly mothers—are very much relating to the tweet. Others have even been adding their own entries to the list, as well.

Maintaining air flow is a big thing for women in their 30s

…as is having lengthy conversations with yourself.

But some of the tweets also appeal to women in their 30s whether or not they have children, like regretting not wearing enough sunscreen and never having enough time to read the stack of books on your bedside table…

Of course, there's also the realization that no man can ever bring you as much joy as a chubby puppy.

And the notion of wanting to be invited to things, even though you will never go to any of them.

And finally, there's the coming to terms with the reality that you're turning into at least one of your parents.

So if you're in your 30s and you find yourself doing any or all of these things, don't worry—it sounds like you're right on track. And for more reasons to embrace your 30s, check out 33 Reasons Why Being Single In Your 30s Is the Best Thing Ever.
