Shakira Has "No Interest in Dating" Tom Cruise, Source Says

Grammy Award-winning singer Shakira made headlines after she suddenly split from longtime beau Gerard Piqué in June 2022. Rumors circulated that Piqué was having an affair with his now-girlfriend Clara Chia Marti, Page Six reported, and Shakira has spoken out about both her heartbreak and her healing process in the aftermath. But it appears she's ready to move on in 2023, as she released a bombshell single about Piqué's betrayal, and moved from Barcelona, Spain, to Miami with her two sons.
Last weekend, Shakira and A-list actor Tom Cruise were pictured together at the Formula 1's Grand Prix, leaving many wondering whether she's also ready to pursue a new relationship. But according to an insider, the Colombian singer has "no interest in dating" Cruise. Read on to find out how Shakira really feels about the rumors.

Shakira isn't interested in dating anyone right now.
A source spoke with Us Weekly about a potential romantic relationship between Cruise and Shakira, clarifying that Shakira isn't focused on her love life right now.
"Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him," the source told the outlet. "He was really nice and she enjoyed his company, but she isn't focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment. She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids and career for now."
The source added that the photos of the Shakira and Cruise at the Formula 1 event, held in Miami on Sunday, simply captured a friendly moment. They were also spotted having a conversation in a private hospitality suite, per Page Six.
Shakira reportedly thinks the dating rumors are "hilarious."
The insider also told Us Weekly that Shakira is amused by the rumors she could be dating the Top Gun: Maverick star.
"Shakira has seen the online rumors that Tom has been courting her—and how fans are chiming in with their opinions—but she thinks it's hilarious because it's just not true," the source said. "She had a fun time when they chatted, but that's as far as things have gone."

Cruise apparently feels differently.
According to Page Six, while Shakira may not be looking for love, Cruise was smitten.
"He is extremely interested in pursuing her," a separate source told Page Six. "There is chemistry."
The insider added that Cruise allegedly sent the singer flowers after meeting her.
"Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom," the source said, adding that Cruise is "a nice-looking guy, and he is talented. And she isn't taller than him."
Shakira previously said she was "heartbroken" that her ex moved on so quickly.
It's been almost a year since Shakira and Piqué called it quits—after the singer reportedly caught him cheating with Marti. But while Shakira is taking her time before starting a new relationship, Piqué and Marti were already an item as of Aug. 2022.
Photos of the pair cropped up on the internet, and at the time, another insider told Us Weekly that Shakira was "heartbroken" to see Piqué involved with someone else so soon after the breakup.
"She is happy to have her kids to lean on as this is a tough time for her," the source told the magazine last August.
