These people might not be fully present and it's likely you'll have to tell them things more than once just so they remember. You could say they're preoccupied, but that might be an understatement: Certain individuals are always miles away and astrology could be a reason. Aries is constantly on the move. They want success, so they can go from zero to 100 pretty quickly. But it means they might also be a little oblivious to what's happening around them.

These fire signs are impulsive and can miss important things along the way. "Their absentmindedness comes from their eagerness to jump into new situations headfirst without thinking things through," says Ryan Marquardt, astrologer and founder of Ryan's Astrology.

Aries' always on-the-go energy can make them a bit forgetful in general. They need to practice patience and slow down a bit to really benefit from what life has to offer.

"Libras have a very laid back attitude and don't sweat the small stuff," says Tara Bennet, astrologer and spiritual coach at Mediumchat. They want to have fun and you know that they'll bring the energy up in any room.

That being said, Libras don't always know what's happening around them. "Their lack of focus on the finer details means they often forget things," says Bennet.

They're also ruled by Venus, the planet of love and beauty, so they could easily get lost in pretty and aesthetically pleasing distractions.

Sagittarius is known for their wanderlust, and they love to explore new and exciting things. While this isn't a bad trait, it causes their mind to drift a bit, as they're always gearing up for what's next.

These folks are not the planning types. Sagittarius lives in the moment, which means they sometimes forget to show up to an event on time, or they won't recall what they're supposed to bring to a potluck.

"They thrive on exploration and always want to pursue more out of life, which can make them forget about the steps they're taking along the way," says Marquardt. These fire signs may be able to work through their absentmindedness if they set alarms and reminders.

Oh, Leos and their egos. It's not surprising that these folks have a hard time focusing on anything but themselves.

Bennet says "they are easily distracted, and if they have a shot at the spotlight, they'll forget everything else."

It's not a bad thing to want to put yourself first, but Leo can take it too far. Their absentmindedness comes out when they neglect the wants and needs of those around them.

Aquarius is an air sign meaning, they're great communicators and intellectual thinkers. "However, if they're rushed or overloaded, their absentmindedness will kick in," says Bennet.

They are normally methodical and take their time to go over everything perfectly—and they're always thinking ahead. But that can have a downside.

"Sometimes their minds get fixated on ideas of the future, which detaches them from the present moment, making them unaware of how things currently are," says Marquardt.

It's true that Aquarius is also known for being aloof. They'll catch up eventually, but they night not be fully there when you need them.

There's no world in which Pisces isn't the most absentminded zodiac sign. Pisces are daydreamers who spend a lot of time with their head in the clouds. Plus, they can't focus on one thing at a time.

"They'll trail off mid-sentence because they got distracted by something else going on in their mind or environment," says Marquardt. "It can take them a while to snap out of that trance and come back to the conversation, at which point they'll surely forget what they were even talking about."

They're always zoning out—and escaping reality is one of their best skills. As spiritual people, Pisces also like to transcend beyond the ordinary plane of existence, so they'll need daily routines or accountable people to help them stay grounded.
