Miranda Lambert can’t get enough husband of Brendan McLoughlin—and she’s not afraid to put their love on full display for the world to see. On Oct. 21, the country crooner debuted her new video “Settling Down” off her 2019 album Wildcard, casting McLoughlin as her love interest. "I've never had a video in 18 years in the business with a love interest, and so it's kinda funny that my husband's my first one,” Lambert told Radio.com host Kelly Ford in an interview prior to the video’s release. In the video, shot at Lambert’s “magical-happy place” outside of Nashville—which she shares with McLoughlin, their dogs, and horses—McLoughlin and Lambert can be seen cuddling together in a hammock, dancing together in a meadow, and playfully flirting and laughing in their kitchen. The video also shows Lambert sitting in the grass writing in a journal as McLoughlin smiles at her while fishing on a nearby dock. And there are scenes of the former NYPD officer sipping whiskey in a doorway as he watches Lambert, wearing a flowing blue gown and white cape, ride a horse through a field.
While Lambert’s never been shy about showing off her affection for her husband, posting numerous intimate snaps to her Instagram, she jokingly noted that it wasn’t just her passion for her hubby that convinced her to make him part of the video. “I'm like, 'you're cute, you're here, and you're free,'" she told Ford.
