James Corden talks to Demi Moore about his worst guest

From his "Carpool Karaoke" sessions to a round of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts," James Corden has a lot of recurring sketches he does with the guests on his late night show. While many celebrities have been down to participate with the host of The Late Late Show With James Corden, some have not been so game. During a 2019 interview, Corden revealed that after four years of hosting the show, he did have a particular guest who disappointed him more than anyone else. Read on to find out who it was, and for more notorious guests, check out The Worst "Late Night" Guest Conan O'Brien Ever Had.

In Corden's segment of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts" on The Late Late Show, the host and his guest ask each other some juicy questions, and if they choose not to answer them, they have to eat or drink the disgusting food that's sitting in front of them, like cow tongue or fish eyes. When Corden played the game in 2019 with Demi Moore, she asked him to name a celebrity guest who disappointed him.

With a mayo, cheese curd, and soy sauce smoothie in front of him, Corden revealed that the most disappointing celebrity on the show was Rick Ross. Before Ross came onto the show, Corden created a musical spoof about binge-watching Netflix to the tune of Ross's song "Hustlin'"and Corden was told that Ross was open to singing it.

"We sent the stuff to Rick's people, and Rick had seen it, loved it, and was so excited to do it," Corden told Moore. However, once Ross watched Corden and his crew perform the song before the show, he wasn't all that stoked about it. "Rick Ross came and sat here, and we did the whole thing about binging with rapping," Corden continued. "And Rick goes, 'Cool, I'm just going to go to the restroom.' About 20 minutes later, we just stood there and he hadn't come back. Then his management person came back and went, 'Yeah, Rick's not going to do that.'"

As Corden and Moore both burst into laughter, Corden said he came to understand why Ross said no to the sketch. "I have to say, now that I've said it out loud, I see his point. It does sound like a terrible idea," Corden said. "But I was very disappointed at the time."

When comedian Chelsea Handler invited another fellow comedian, Russell Brand, to be a guest on her show, it took a turn for the worse. In fact, Brand was the rudest guest Handler said she ever had on Chelsea Lately, which ended in 2014. "The only person who was a pain in the a** was Russell Brand," Handler told Grazia Magazine (via RTE) that same year. "I would never want him back."

"He stopped all of our production schedules because he needed three espressos before he could even come on for his interview," Handler explained. And for more interviews gone wrong, Oprah Says This Was the Worst Guest She Ever Had.

Things went downhill before filming even started when director Abel Ferrara was on Late Night With Conan O'Brien in 1996. "He fled during the show before his segment," Conan O'Brien told Dax Shepard during a 2018 interview on the latter's Armchair Expert podcast. "He ran away, got on an elevator, and was out on the street running away."

After producers chased Ferrara and brought him back onto the set, he was still causing trouble. "He came on camera against his will, came out, and started yelling at me," O'Brien said. And for more late night foibles, This Is the Worst "SNL" Host of All Time, Cast Says.

Scottish interviewer Lorraine Kelly revealed that she's never had anyone horrible on her show Lorraine, except for Kevin Spacey. Spacey was a guest on Kelly's show in 2015 and two years later, he faced a series of sexual assault charges, one of which was dropped in 2019. "He was really, really, beyond horrible, and that was before all the allegations," Kelly told The Big Narstie Show in 2019. "He was horrible to the person that was making him up, the person that was bringing him tea." And for more celebrity news sent right to your inbox, sign up for our newsletter.

On an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Today co-anchor Hoda Kotb and her former co-host Kathie Lee Gifford both agreed that there was one celebrity guest from 2015 that they didn't like. "It's Frank Sinatra Jr. It was the worst guest we ever had, bar none," Kotb said. "He had a book he was promoting, and he didn't want to talk about it, so he didn't say anything. It was so weird."
