6 | Libra
iStockLibra might not be the best person to physically help on a desert island, but they are great at keeping everyone’s spirits up. They believe in balance and fairness, which works when trying to establish a positive connection with others.
“They have a clear head and can settle disputes,” says Stina Garbis, astrologer and owner of Psychic Stina. “They can help keep morale up and instill hope in a rather hopeless situation.”
Also, as an air sign, they’re a social powerhouse. The conversation will always be flowing when a Libra’s there, plus they’ll make sure that everyone’s needs are met as best they can.
5 | Virgo
Olesya Kuprina/ShutterstockVirgo’s planning abilities and organizational skills are crucial for survival on a desert island.
“Where many other signs get overwhelmed, Virgo would be able to meticulously assess the available resources and develop efficient systems to manage food, water, and other supplies,” says Ryan Marquardt, astrologer and founder of Ryan's Astrology. He adds that since they're a mutable earth sign, “they’ll be able to adapt quickly to the ever-changing circumstances.”
However, be aware that their perfectionist tendencies and need to be right all the time may get on some people’s nerves.

4 | Aries
Sorn340 Studio Images/ShutterstockAries is the first sign of the zodiac, so they love to lead and be in charge. “They are the ones who will explore the island, fight off beasts, and procure food," says Garbis, who describes this sign as a hunter, warrior, and hard worker.
“Aries won’t always make the most practical or logical choices, but their primal instincts are stronger than any other sign, and they’ll often be guided to make the best decision in the moment, even under severe pressure,” adds Marquardt.
Keep in mind that they are putting themselves first, though, so if there’s a chance to escape, they may leave you behind.
3 | Sagittarius
Jacob Lund/ShutterstockSagittarius can truly have fun no matter where they are. They are adventurous, optimistic, and can always see the best in any situation.
As the world travelers of the zodiac, exploring uncharted territory like a desert island is right in their wheelhouse. With an unyielding curiosity, these fire signs can discover life-saving solutions or new ways to use materials and supplies around them.
And unlike Aries, they'll make sure everyone else feels safe and comfortable. Sagitarrians don’t need much to thrive, so they’d be smart with their resources. Plus, they can adapt a lot quicker than others, Marquardt tells Best Life.

2 | Capricorn
DisobeyArt/ShutterstockCapricorn is the most organized and hardworking zodiac sign, so Garbis says they make great leaders. “They are practical and wise and not afraid to get their hands dirty.”
But these earth signs also have a calming presence and will be there for support if you're feeling overwhelmed. They can easily keep a level head and would know what to do no matter what obstacles come their way.
"They are a trustworthy sign as well, so you’d always believe they’re committed to the goal of survival and be able to depend on them in the toughest moments," adds Marquardt.
1 | Aquarius
Ye Choh Wah/Shutterstock“Aquarius would give the best of both worlds on a desert island because they believe in the power of community and support systems, but they also understand the importance of independence,” explains Marquardt.
Not only are they humanitarians at heart, but these air signs have an innovative way of thinking that could help you out of sticky situations. They’ll be able to consider scenarios that other signs couldn’t dream up if they tried. “They know how to make a radio out of coconuts and a boat out of banana leaves,” Garbis says.
And as a sign that’s also great at communicating, they’ll help make the experience fun—even if you’re stuck longer than you’d like to be.
