The newest season of The Bachelor doesn't even premiere until Monday, but one of its contestants is already blowing up the Internet.
On Thursday, the show posted a promo clip in which contestant Bri Barnes has a meet-and-greet with this season's Bachelor, Colton Underwood. He smiles and says she has a nice accent and asks her where she's from, to which she responds, "Um, the accent it's Australian," which isn't technically a lie. At the very least, it's certainly an attempt at an Australian accent.
"I was hoping that you're kind of a sucker for accents," she tells him. "I didn't know what you'd think about it." Cut to her talking to the cameras in her normal, American accent and saying, "I'm not really Australian but you have to do what you can to stand out."
People were floored by this next-level scamming.
This is already must-see viewing.
And you can fully expect this won't be the last time you'll be hearing about social media's newest champion.

Naturally, people want to know how she plans to pull this off. Like, is she banking on the prospect that Colton hasn't heard of the Internet?
Of course, now everyone also wants to know everything about her.
According to The Bachelor website, Bri is a 24-year-old model from Southern California who "played soccer for eight years, enjoys hiking and camping, and loves to hit the snowboard slopes."
Her favorite sport to watch is hockey, she loves it when a man compliments her outfit, and her biggest dating fear is "farting too loudly."
