It Looks Like Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck Are Dating
Photos of Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck on a beach in Costa Rica hint that the co-stars are together.
It's a classic Hollywood story. Onscreen romance becomes real-life romance. The latest couple who seem to have taken things from the movie set to reality? Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck, who recently filmed the erotic thriller Deep Water together and have now been photographed getting quite close in Costa Rica and Cuba.
On Mar. 8, De Armas and Affleck were spotted together at an airport in Costa Rica. Though you could chalk that up to a platonic trip between friends and former co-workers, new photos have emerged of De Armas and Affleck getting cozy on a Costa Rican beach together, courtesy of The Daily Mail.
De Armas and Affleck met in November on the set of Deep Water, in which they play a married couple whose extramarital arrangement starts to lead to a lot of dead bodies. Since filming wrapped in late February, rumors of them dating began to swirl when they were seen spending time together just a couple of weeks later in De Armas' hometown of Havana, Cuba.
The two were photographed shopping together at Clandestina, Cuba's first sustainable fashion store.
And they also dined at a number of restaurants in Havana, like Ivan Chef Justo, where they took some photos.
De Armas, 31—who starred in Knives Out and is the next Bond girl—has been private about her personal life. After rumors of a possible romance with Bradley Cooper were dispelled, she told Vanity Fair in a recent cover story, "I’ve had company here [in Los Angeles], but it’s been the wrong company so I prefer to be alone." But, judging by the new paparazzi photos of her and Affleck, 47, in Costa Rica, that could be changing.
Neither Affleck nor De Armas has officially confirmed the romance they seem to have taken off-screen, but it appears things are heating up.
However, the two may soon be spending time apart. Affleck is currently promoting his new film The Way Back, about a basketball coach struggling with alcoholism who finds redemption, which hit theaters on Mar. 6. Meanwhile, De Armas is starring in No Time to Die, although the film's release has been moved from April to November due to coronavirus. She also has two movies hitting Netflix this year: Sergio, a biographical drama about UN diplomat Sérgio Vieira de Mello, set to be released on the streaming platform on Apr. 17, and Blonde, in which De Armas plays Marilyn Monroe.
For those looking to see De Armas and Affleck's chemistry on the big screen, Deep Water is currently scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 13.
