"Their intensity in these moments can be surprising," says Tara Bennet, astrologer and spiritual coach at Mediumchat.

These serious signs have a reputation for being ruthless and driven—almost to a fault. With Saturn, the planet of structure and responsibility, as their ruler, they can be inflexible and uncompromising.

In other words, Capricorn will do whatever it takes to end up on top, even if they have to step on some toes to get there. "This often makes them seem cold, calculating, and even vicious to those around them," says Rachel Clare, a professional astrologist at Mystic Sense.

Pisces might not be the first person you think of when it comes to viciousness, but they do have a darker side. "They are ruled by Neptune, the planet that rules drugs, addictions, dreams, and delusions, causing them to be unhinged and unbalanced, and even vicious at times," says Rebecca Schmidt, astrologer at Trust the Effing Process.

Because they just want to make sure everyone is cared for, these fish often lack the ability to set boundaries. They always know what you need and can pick up on emotions quite well, but they can also use that against you. So don't be so quick to let down your guard.

They also love harder than most, and if they're not feeling that same love or care in return, they're prone to lashing out. Plus, if these water signs feel used or manipulated in any way, they'll become bitter almost instantaneously.

As an air sign, Gemini thrives in social situations and opportunities where they can let their curiosities roam freely. However, they are also incredibly unpredictable, thanks to their dual nature—you really never know what will come out of their mouths.

"They tend to have a mischievous streak and can be prone to stirring up drama for the sake of entertainment," Clare says. Because they are skilled communicators, they will sometimes play mind games or use their words manipulatively to get what they want—which gives them a bit of a vicious edge.

They are competitive beyond belief and thrive in challenging situations. Their need to be at the head of the pack all the time makes them ruthless and destructive, and they have little room to care if they hurt others along the way.

Because of their passionate nature, they tend to be impulsive and their temper gets the best of them. They're harsh and unyielding with their words—being sensitive is not their thing.

Scorpios are petty people who will hold on to grudges until their dying day. They'll never be the ones to forgive and forget, and Bennet mentions that they're always thinking about the perfect moment to exact their revenge. No one gravitates toward dark behavior like them, and it's why they are the most vicious zodiac sign.

Like Aries, they're also ruled by Mars, as well as Pluto, the planet of transformation and power, so it's no wonder they can be intense—even intimidating. That combination, plus their fixed modality truly makes them unstoppable. They have sharp tongues and aren't afraid of using everything in their arsenal to get what they want.
