In April, news broke that Jamie Foxx had suffered an undisclosed "medical complication." At the time, his daughter Corinne Foxx took to Instagram to say that her father was recovering—but that didn't stop countless rumors from circulating about the actor's health. After Radar Online alleged that Foxx's family was preparing "for the worst," Corinne again spoke out to reveal that her father was out of the hospital and recuperating. Since then, the actor and his family have been tight-lipped about his status. However, a new source offered an update yesterday, claiming that Foxx is still very much on the road to recovery. Read on to find out the latest on his condition.

The rumor mill has been churning.
Geisler-Fotopress GmbH/Alamy Stock PhotoWhile little information has been released to the public, there's been no shortage of speculation about Foxx's condition.
Last month, former boxer Mike Tyson let slip that he heard Foxx had actually suffered a stroke. A conspiracy theory also arose about the actor being "partially paralyzed" and "blind" after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine, Entertainment Tonight reported.
The claims were made by a guest on Dr. Drew Pinsky's show, with the guest further speculating that Foxx developed a blood clot leading to a stroke. While Pinsky didn't challenge the statements during the May 30 episode, a rep for Foxx later shut them down and said they're "completely inaccurate."
With no family update, fans have been largely in the dark regarding the actor's condition this month. But a source now says Foxx continues to recuperate—and he's thankfully in good hands.
A source says Foxx is recovering but "still not himself."
Featureflash Photo Agency / ShutterstockSpeaking with People, a source close to Foxx said that while the actor is recovering, Foxx isn't yet back to how he was before his medical complication.
“He is getting the best care and working hard to recover right now, but he is still not himself," the source said, adding that his inner circle continues to keep his status private. "He has the tightest circle around him."
John Boyega says he "can't wait" for his co-star's return.

On Tuesday, John Boyega, Foxx's co-star in the upcoming film They Cloned Tyrone, recapped his conversation with the Ray star.
“He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro,” Boyega said. “He's doing well. And then, you know, we just giving him the privacy, and we can't wait for his return.”
He added that he gave Foxx "well wishes," and is looking forward to the actor's return.
"I'm just waiting until he comes back out here," Boyega said. "So take your time, Jamie. We love you, bro."
Another co-star stressed that Foxx is a private person.
On the red carpet for the BET Awards this past Sunday, the Oscar-winner's Netflix co-star Porscha Coleman, spoke to Entertainment Tonight and also confirmed that Foxx is on the mend.
"I've talked to people very close to Foxx," she said. "Foxx is doing well. I hate that the media outlets kept running with the narrative of what was going on without having the proper information."
Coleman added that Foxx is a private person and that his family sharing limited details isn't surprising.
"One thing about Jamie is that he's always valued his privacy. If you've noticed, Jamie Foxx has always been on the low," she said. "Even when it came to dating, Jamie's always been private, so it never surprised me. Once I heard the news, of course, I reached out, but how Foxx is doing it is how Foxx should be doing it. He's resting, he's well. And he's going to be back. Trust and believe."
