In April, fans learned that Jamie Foxx was hospitalized in Atlanta, Georgia, due to "a medical complication," according to a statement from the actor's family. Corinne Foxx, Jamie's oldest daughter, shared the statement on her Instagram story on April 12, noting that her father was "already on his way to recovery"—and on May 3, Jamie himself posted on his own Instagram to thank fans for "all the love." But still, limited details were shared with the public, and rumors have since circulated about the Oscar winner's condition. Now, former boxer Mike Tyson seems to have answers, claiming that he heard why Jamie was really hospitalized. Read on to find out what Tyson had to say.

Tyson claimed the actor suffered a stroke.
During a May 16 episode of the PBD Podcast, Tyson spoke briefly ab0out Foxx, alleging that his health scare was actually a stroke.
"He's not feeling well. They said a stroke," Tyson said, but then added, "I have no idea what happened to him."
Podcast host Patrick Bet-David continued by saying that he had just seen Foxx at a restaurant in Los Angeles a few months ago and that he "looked really good"—making the news of his medical condition that much more surprising.
"Hey listen, we can't anticipate our next breath, we don't know when we're going to die," Tyson said in response.
Foxx was going to play Tyson in a movie.
Leonard Zhukovsky / ShutterstockBet-David also asked Tyson about an upcoming biopic, in which Foxx was supposed to play the boxing legend.
"It was a possibility," Tyson said. "I don't know what's going to happen now, but you know, it's a strong possibility."
Michael Franzese, who also appeared on the podcast episode, then asked again about whether there's been any news or updates on Foxx's current condition, calling the actor a "young, vibrant, healthy guy." Tyson responded saying the public might not get the answers they're looking for.
"If we don't know by now, they don't want us to know," he said.
Foxx is reportedly at a rehab center that specializes in stroke recovery, among other things.
Featureflash Photo Agency / ShutterstockFoxx has reportedly been at a rehabilitation center in Chicago since April, TMZ first reported, so Tyson's statements might actually have some weight.
According to Page Six, the center specializes in stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and cancer rehabilitation. The outlet also reported that Corrine and Annalise Foxx, Jamie's youngest daughter, were spotted at the rehab center just last week.
Corinne previously dispelled rumors that the family was "preparing for the worst."
Featureflash Photo Agency / ShutterstockOn May 9, Radar Online reported that Foxx's family was preparing "for the worst," while still hoping he would make a full recovery.
However, a few days later, on May 12, Corinne posted on Instagram to refute the claims, noting that her father was already discharged.
"[U]pdate from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating,” Corinne wrote, per Page Six. “In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday.”
