Celebrity Siblings Who Avoid the Spotlight
Almost every famous family has one (or two)—a sibling living a totally normal life.
There are a lot of famous families in Hollywood. For years, second generations and siblings have been taking on film, TV, music, and the great big world of celebrity together. There are the Fondas, the Baldwins, the Kardashians…the list goes on and on. But some of the most high-profile clans include siblings who've avoided the spotlight and gone in a different direction than their recognizable relatives.
The Osbournes starred in a reality TV series about their family, but the show was missing a kid. Elizabeth Olsen followed in older sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's footsteps, while their brother was just living his own quiet life. The Jonas Brothers' entire career is built around the fact that they're siblings—meanwhile, a fourth Jonas brother has been hanging out in the background this whole time.
So read on to find out more about 14 celebrity siblings who haven't chased fame. And for star pairs who've kept their nuptials quiet, check out Celebrity Couples Who Had Top-Secret Weddings.
When The Osbournes premiered on MTV in 2002, viewers knew the family as Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and their two kids, Jack and Kelly. But, while she wasn't part of the popular reality series, the couple have a third child, their eldest, Aimee Osbourne. Aimee, who is now 37, is a musician and performs with her band ARO. She talked about her decision not to be on the show in a recent interview with Q104.3 New York.
"I had grown up around having a pretty well known dad anyway, and I always really valued my privacy within that family," Aimee said. "[Doing the show] didn't really line up with what I saw my future as."

Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas are all performers known for their group the Jonas Brothers and for making headlines with their personal lives. But, did you know there is a "Bonus Jonas"? Frankie Jonas is the youngest JoBro at 20 years old. (The second youngest brother, Nick, is 28.) Frankie has done a bit of acting work, appearing in his brothers' projects and voicing the main character in the animated film Ponyo. And like his brothers, Frankie is also involved in music, but behind the scenes. In a 2018 interview with Celeb Mix, he explained that he was doing some music production, and in 2019, he graduated from audio engineering school.
Twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been famous since they were babies sharing the role of Michelle Tanner on Full House. Their younger sister, Elizabeth Olsen, is an actor who has starred in independent movies and as a Marvel superhero. Their older brother, Trent Olsen (pictured above with girlfriend Sue Ellen LaRocca) is not as well known. When he was young, he appeared in some of Ashley and Mary-Kate's movies and once played "Boy with Flowers" on Full House. As reported by Page Six, he graduated from the University of Southern California, and worked for Storm King Productions and as a comic book writer as of 2014. Mary-Kate and Ashley's former clothing line Elizabeth & James is named after their siblings—Trent goes by his middle name, his first being James. The siblings also all have two half-siblings.

Santa Cruz and is the founder and director of the Firehouse Art Collective. He's also done a little bit of acting, appearing in small parts in his brothers' movies Spring Breakers, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and The Disaster Artist. "I'm like the chill, calm one," Tom told W Magazine in 2017. "Everyone's like, 'Tom's my favorite,' because I'm, like, normal."
Christopher Cody Cyrus
Miley Cyrus has a few siblings and half-siblings. Trace, Braison, and Noah Cyrus are all musicians, and Brandi Cyrus is a podcast host who appeared on the interior design show Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer with her mom, Tish Cyrus. But, there is another Cyrus sibling, Christopher Cody Cyrus (with a friend above). Christopher is the son of Billy Ray Cyrus and Kristin Luckey, a woman who Billy Ray briefly dated before Tish, according to Good Housekeeping. Christopher gave an interview to the Mirror in 2009, and explained that he didn't have that close of a relationship with his father. He did have nice things to say about Miley: "She's a normal teenager having fun and she can laugh at herself. She's the same now as she was before all this fame. She's still my goofy sister."

If you don't follow the British royal family closely, you might not know that the Duchess of Cambridge—aka Kate Middleton—has a brother. Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, made headlines when she was in her sister's royal wedding to Prince William, and she has continued to attract attention for her own marriage and family. But, brother James Middleton has kept a much lower profile.
James, however, has a unique job: He started a greeting card and personalized marshmallow company called Boomf. He's also a big fan of dogs, as you can see on his Instagram, and has worked with the organization Pets as Therapy.

Pop star Britney Spears and actor and singer Jamie Lynn Spears have an older brother named Bryan Spears. Bryan has worked as a producer on a couple of Jamie Lynn's projects, including her Nickelodeon series Zoey 101. And while he generally stays out of the spotlight, he recently commented on the "Free Britney" social media movement, in which fans are asking that Britney be removed from the conservatorship that she has been placed under. He said that Britney would like the conservatorship to end, but understands why it was put in place.
"Whether someone's coming in peace to help or coming in with an attitude, having someone constantly tell you to do something has got to be frustrating," Bryan said on the As NOT Seen on TV podcast.
Shanna and Carly Evans
Captain America actor Chris Evans is globally famous for his superhero movies, and his brother, Scott Evans, is also an actor who is known for roles on One Life to Live and Grace and Frankie. The brothers have two sisters, Carly (righ) and Shanna, who are involved in acting, just not in Hollywood. Carly was recently included in a WCVB Boston article about the high school drama program that she directs, and she's also an English teacher. As for Shanna, the article notes that she is the costume designer for the Concord Youth Theater Group and that she works as a teacher's aide.
Daniel and Conor Mara
From two famous brothers with non-famous sisters, we move on to two celebrity sisters with non-celeb brothers. Girl With the Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara and House of Cards star Kate Mara's sisterly bond is well-known, but they also have two other siblings, Daniel and Conor Mara. It's hard to find much information about either of them (or photos!), but Conor's 2018 wedding was featured on Martha Stewart Weddings. Daniel's 2004 wedding was announced in the New York Times, and at that point he was a law student. What we do know is that all the Mara siblings come from a wealthy family thanks to their ties to the NFL.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's children, Willow and Jaden Smith, have been making headlines on their own for years now. Willow is a singer and Jaden is a musician and actor. There is another Smith kid, though. Will has a 28-year-old son with his first wife, Sheree Zampino, named Trey Smith. Trey co-starred in his dad's music video for "Just the Two of Us" in 1998. And today, he's a DJ. While he's out of the spotlight compared to his family members, his over 800K Instagram followers prove that he's not as incognito as some of these other celeb siblings.

He's only 18 now, and has already been spotted by the paparazzi.
