See Russell Crowe's Lookalike Teenage Sons in New Rare Photo
The actor's ex-wife recently posted a new photo of their boys, who are rarely photographed.
If you ever need a reminder of how fast time flies, just look to Hollywood. It seems like some of the biggest A-listers who became famous in their teens and 20s are now, suddenly, parents to teenagers and young adults themselves. Take Russell Crowe, for example. The Oscar-winning actor is the father to a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old. And while Russell Crowe and his sons keep their lives private, the actor's ex-wife, Australian actor Danielle Spencer, recently shared a rare photo of them, showing the boys are really starting to take after their dad.
While Spencer often shares old photos of her kids when they were little on Instagram, she rarely posts current photos of herself with her sons. Read on to see Spencer and Crowe's teenage sons and to find out more about their family.

Tennyson and Charles are in their teens now and they're starting to look more like their father.
On May 9, as E! News first reported, Spencer posted a photo of herself with her sons, 14-year-old Tennyson and 17-year-old Charles, to mark Mother's Day. "Here I was telling the boys to smile—and then I didn't," Spencer captioned the photo. "Ah well. Have had a lovely Mother's Day. Hope all the mums out there have been spoilt today." She added the hashtags, "#mothersday #love #myboys."

In the past, she's shared throwback photos with her kids.
It's rare for Spencer to share current photos of her sons. The last one seems to be from 2018 when Tennyson graduated from grade school, and she noted he would be heading to high school. But, she does post old photos of the kids, including some that feature Crowe.
In April, she wished her ex-husband a happy birthday by posting two pictures of him with their sons when they were younger. One shows the family together and the other is of Tennyson and Charles on the set of Robin Hood. "Wishing you some happiness on your birthday today Russell," she wrote.

Crowe opened up about his sons in an interview last year.
Crowe doesn't post about his sons on social media—instead, he often shares pictures of nature—but he has spoken about them in interviews. During a June 2020 appearance on The Tonight Show, Crowe shared that his sons didn't want to quarantine with him in the Australian bush during the COVID-19 pandemic and that they had a funny reason for wanting to stay in Sydney with Spencer.
"I was a little affronted because it's the bush. We got the wide-open spaces. We got all of these amazing things up here," Crowe said. "But they were like, 'No, no, Dad, we've made the decision that in a pandemic, we're going to isolate in the most populous part of the country surrounded by the areas that have the most infections.' And I'm like, 'Guys, can I ask why?' And my youngest one, who's just too honest, said, 'Uber Eats.'"
Spencer and Crowe's divorce took six years to finalize, but they seem to be in a good place now.
Crowe and Spencer first met when they co-starred in the movie The Crossing in 1990, and then had an on-and-off relationship. They got married in 2003 and were together for nine years until their separation in 2012. Then, it took six more years for their divorce to be finalized in 2018.
In a 2015 interview, Crowe expressed that he was interested in getting back together with Spencer. "We haven't done the deal yet, so you never know yet," Crowe said on CBS This Morning (via Us Weekly). "I'm a very persistent person, you never know."
While it's unclear if they ever rekindled the relationship, these days, Spencer reportedly lives with her longtime partner, art dealer Adam Long, and Crowe is rumored to be dating actor-turned-real estate agent Britney Theriot. And the exes have been able to maintain a friendship. In June of 2020, Spencer told Stellar magazine that she still considers Crowe to be family. "We have a lot of respect for each other and I consider him to be a member of my family," she said. "The marriage ended, but that didn't mean our friendship ended. We've had holidays together in the past and we can happily sit down and chat.
