With Neptune, which is associated with imagination, dreams, and creativity, as their ruling planet, it makes sense why Pisces has a bookish side. They love to escape reality and reading does the trick, while giving them their much-needed alone time.

"Pisces, specifically, are intuitive and empathetic readers who are drawn to books that explore human emotions and relationships," says Rachel Clare, a professional astrologist at Mystic Sense. Give them anything that has elements of magic, fantasy, or spirituality and they'll be good to go.

As a water sign, they're also in touch with their emotions and their intuition is off the charts. Clare says they often relate to characters on a deep level, and reading can be a way for them to connect with their own emotions.

Aquarius are always looking for new ideas that they can work with. And what better place to find them than in a book? They love to read anything that will help them learn, and sometimes they'll go for stories with futuristic vibes.

"They choose more nonfiction books that deal with science, technology, or social issues, because they like to gain knowledge that might be useful in their daily life," says Ryan Marquardt, astrologer and founder of Ryan's Astrology.

They're also known for being independent thinkers and not adhering to the status quo. These folks are fixed air signs which gives them the discipline to dive into many different subjects. Marquardt mentions that once they find a book that appeals to them, it's game over—you'll be lucky if these avid readers come up for air.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius has a natural curiosity and great need for knowledge. If they can't go on their own adventure, finding them in books is their next best option, Clare tells Best Life.

They are one of the wisest signs of the zodiac and they fully enjoy learning about new cultures, ideas, as well as the best ways to make the most out of their life experience.

"Being ruled by Jupiter, Sagittarians are naturally drawn to books that inspire personal growth and self-discovery," Clare says. They might be interested in texts that take them on a journey and help them reach a higher perspective—they are quite spiritual after all.

Scorpio

Scorpio is a fixed water sign which means they are incredibly focused and determined individuals with with a lot emotional intensity. "They can get lost in mental pursuits for hours on end, especially when it comes to books that require a lot of focus and deal with intricate themes," Marquardt says.

They're also known for their love of learning and their ability to quickly figure out how others are feeling. "With this in mind, Scorpios, in particular, have a strong desire to uncover hidden truths and secrets, which could explain their love of books," Clare says.

Because of their darker side, they're drawn to books with twists and turns they can try and predict as the story unfolds. "They're also fascinated by occult topics, so you'll often find them obsessively reading books that are steeped in mythology, magic, or any form of ancient wisdom," Marquardt says.

Virgo

Virgos are always hungry for more information which translates into their love of books. They can read something in one sitting—and don't be fooled—they'll still pick up on every little nuance and detail.

"They're like sponges, soaking up everything they can from the books they read," Clare says. In addition to their need for knowledge, they are ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication and learning, so you will catch them finishing book after book on the regular.

"It's no wonder that Virgos are so drawn to books, as reading is one of the best ways to absorb new knowledge and communicate ideas," Clare says.

No one appreciates a book like a Taurus. As people who are known to value the finer things in life, including art forms of all kinds, they have a special love for words on a page. They are the zodiac's biggest bookworm because they're always looking for the next thing to read and will without a doubt have their own special little library.

"Reading is a form of self care for Taurus," Marquardt says. They're a fixed earth sign, so they value things like stability and routine. Because they're materialistic, they need to have physical books available. E-books and audio are not for these signs. Taurus is incredibly well-read and enjoys a wide variety of genres.

"They like nonfiction books covering themes like art, gardening, food and music, and if they're reading fiction, they like everything from slice-of-life character studies to inspiring tales of perseverance to historical dramas and more," says Marquardt.
