This week tennis champion Serena Williams married Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in a New Orleans wedding that was, even by Hollywood standards, off the charts.
Firstly, it was absolutely filled to the brim with A-list mega-celebrities, including Anna Wintour, Kim Kardashian, Ciara, and Beyoncé, to name a few. The entire block was sealed off for the event, and guests were reportedly asked to put their cellphones into a special locking pouch to avoid looking at them during the evening. It's a testament to how much people love Serena Williams that these social-media obsessed stars actually agreed to this.
The theme of the wedding was Beauty and the Beast, which makes sense because the whole affair looked like a fairytale.

The element of it that the Internet loved the most, however, was that the reception paid major homage to Serena's career as the reigning queen of tennis. The guests were all given trophies as party favors, and all of the tables were named after Williams's 12 grand-slam titles.

Although we recently consulted with a wedding planner who said that naming tables was a trend to ditch in 2018, we're pretty sure Serena gets on a pass on this one, because being unabashedly proud of your accomplishments on your big day never goes out of style.
Truth:
no offense to the royal wedding but serena williams seems to have had the most important wedding of all time and it should have been live broadcast around the world tbh
