If you’re a loyal JetBlue customer who frequents Miami, Milwaukee, or Austin, then listen up. The airline has plans to slash flight paths to eight major cities starting as early as next month, according to CNBC. And come summer 2025, JetBlue will slim down its international travel offerings, including services to London and Paris. Despite a recent spike in revenue and bookings, JetBlue says its "JetForward strategic plan" is still very much in effect. See how the airline’s flight cuts will affect your future travel plans.

JetBlue is scaling back on flights to Austin, San Jose, Miami, and more.

JetBlue is reducing services to five states across the U.S., including California, Florida, Texas, Wisconsin, and South Carolina. Metropolitan airports like New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport will be hit the hardest, with several major cities getting the axe.

According to CNBC and The Points Guy, JetBlue is cutting the following flights from its roster:

  • Fort Lauderdale to Jacksonville
  • Boston to San Jose
  • Boston to Phoenix (not until summer 2025)
  • New York’s JFK to Austin
  • New York’s JFK to Houston
  • New York’s JFK to Milwaukee
  • New York’s JFK to Miami
  • New York’s Westchester County to Charleston

In a company memo obtained by CNBC, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and airline partnerships said the decision to discontinue service between JFK and Miami was years in the making.

“Florida remains a strong geography for JetBlue, however post-COVID we haven’t been profitable in Miami due to the dominance of legacy carriers like American and Delta there,” wrote Dave Jehn.

The airline is also reducing its international travel offerings come the summer of 2025.

If you plan on traveling to Mexico or London this summer, you might want to rethink which airline you’re flying. JetBlue has plans to drop several of its international flight paths ahead of the summer 2025 travel season, including:

  • Boston to Grenada
  • New York’s JFK to Tulum
  • New York’s JFK to London’s Gatwick Airport
  • New York’s JFK to Paris

JetBlue is eliminating Mint business class services to Seattle.

In April, passengers will no longer be able to purchase a Mint business class ticket on flights from New York and Boston to Seattle, reports The Points Guy. It’s unclear what JetBlue intends to do with its “Mint-equipped Airbus A321” jets, the axing of which is part of the airline’s multifaceted “JetForward strategic plan.”

“As part of our JetForward strategic plan, JetBlue is focused on building a network that best serves our customers and supports our long-term success. Recently, we made some network adjustments in certain markets, removing some underperforming flying from our schedule, allowing us to redeploy resources, including our popular Mint service, toward high-demand markets and new opportunities,” the airline said in a statement shared with The Points Guy.
