See How Jennifer Lopez Maintains Her Insane New Physique—Photos

Her biceps rival those of any Marvel superhero.

Fact: Jennifer Lopez is 49 years old—and she looks absolutely fantastic. She doesn't look "good for her age." She doesn't even look the same as she did 20 years ago when she first became famous. She actually looks better. The woman is a testament to the fact that it is actually possible to age in reverse.

Now, we all know J-Lo is a fitness fanatic, and some of the credit to her physique goes to the fact that she she and A-Rod are the poster couple for the modern-day belief that the couple who works out together, stays together.

But, judging from her most recent Instagram post, the pop icon has been going especially hard on her arm workouts. If you look at photos that she posted a little over a month ago, the A-list celeb's arms look toned but also fairly standard for a human woman.

But, on Wednesday, she flexed her biceps in a photo that proves she really needs a lead role in Marvel's next superhero film.

"Feeling like superwoman after the show tonight!" she wrote, and she certainly looks like it.

The incredible thing is that she isn't even training for a role in a movie in which she's contractually obligated to be buff (that we know of). Her latest film, Second Act, is a romantic comedy about a street smart store worker who reinvents her life, and is reminiscent of the Cinderlla-story plot of Maid in Manhattan.

Which means she's essentially just getting swole for the fun of it, and that makes it all the more inspiring. Her secret? She never misses a day at the gym, not even when it's hot out, or when it's her birthday, or when she's working 7,000 hours a week on a concert residency in Las Vegas, as she is now.

"When I started this run I thought 'omg, 15 shows in 27 days'," she wrote in the caption to her superwoman photo, "But I made a promise to myself that instead of letting it wear me down I would be even stronger at the end of it…I will work out and be in the best shape of my life… There were moments I was tired and there was travel and I had to fit in my workouts where I could."
