Courtney Shapiro
Courtney Shapiro was Best Life’s associate editor and is currently a book influencer who loves photography, travel, and trying new things. Her writing has been published in Best Life, BizBash, and Long Island Weekly, as well as Cupid’s Pulse and Her Campus Hofstra, and she has also published her photography work.
She has written about astrology, beauty tips and tricks, book recommendations, hair styling techniques, pest control advice, pets and pups, and retail do’s and don’ts. When she isn’t writing, you can catch her with her nose in a book since reading is her favorite hobby. She runs an Instagram account specifically for books under the username, @courts.book.nook and posts reviews, recommendations, author spotlights, and more.
Courtney officially started her journalism career during her time as an undergrad, but she’s been interested in the field since eighth grade when she was tasked with a unique creative writing project about twisted Nursery Rhymes. She’s had various internships in college and graduate school for local newspapers, entertainment and culture websites, as well as event planning content, but she began writing full-time when she became Best Life’s editorial assistant in 2022.
In 2023, Courtney was promoted to Associate Editor and has been diving into even more exciting stories including The Most Instagrammable Ice Skating Rinks, and I Read 365 Books This Year and These Were My 10 Favorites. Courtney also loves making graphics on Canva and loves connecting her artsy side with her love for writing.
