When it comes to athleisure wear that’s both functional and stylish, Lululemon is pretty hard to beat. The apparel brand is beloved for its high-performance leggings that are made to outlast and outlive long travel days, everyday errands, and even the toughest of workouts. Lululemon sells other technical apparel, accessories (the viral Lulu belt bag), and athletic shoes. But for many, the brand’s upscale price point is too out of reach.

That’s where former Lululemon employee Mina comes in. Known to her TikTok followers as @minazaliesi, Mina is "exposing all the drama" at Lululemon, including four secret ways shoppers can save money.

1. You can trade old Lululemon leggings for new ones

“Never throw out your old or damaged Lulu leggings!” says Mina. The company has a policy in which customers can exchange worn-out leggings for a brand-new pair.

“I did this when my leggings would get a hole in them, literally free leggings for life,” she told followers.

2. Take advantage of the "We Made Too Much" items.

With most merchandise costing upwards of $80, Lululemon isn’t exactly known for its affordable pricing. However, every Thursday at 11 a.m. local time, the chain restocks its “We Made Too Much” website section, where items are up to 90 percent off.

“You’ll even see the most popular items [reduced]...it’s crazy,” says Mina.

3. Save money by being a Lululemon product reviewer.

“So many people do not know this, but if you sign up to be a Lululemon product reviewer at lulupartner.com, we will give you a $700 gift card to shop anything on the website or in store,” revealed Mina.

Under “Become a Product Reviewer,” users can select from one of three third-party platforms that allow shoppers to review their favorite products. You’ll have to make an account in order to see which additional benefits you qualify for (i.e. coupons and samples).

“You can literally get an entire haul of Lululemon products this way,” said Mina.

4. Don't forget Lululemon’s generous return policy.

According to Mina, customers can return anything from Lululemon “if it just didn’t live up to your standards.” And there's no time limit, meaning you can bring back items you purchased a month, three months, or even a year ago.

For instance, Mina said she once witnessed a customer bring in a sports bra after two years of wear just because “she didn’t like it anymore.”

“We had to replace it for her,” she noted.
