Here's Why Everyone's Making Fun of Kim Kardashian's Latest Instagram Post
Welcome to Meme-Land, Kim.
Kim Kardashian is known for causing a stir on her social media accounts, and not only because of the nude photos that she frequently posts. Back in January, she got a lot of heat for a NSFW photo in which she's wearing nothing but a fur coat and thong, because she was also sporting a hairstyle that many deemed to be an example of cultural appropriation. Back in May, Anna Wintour fans gave her a hard time for flagrantly breaking the number one rule at the Met Gala. And just last month, her cryptic post about the benefits of pineapple juice left many people scratching their heads.
Now, her most recent Instagram post is going viral for a very unique reason. On Monday, the social media queen posted a photo of her splayed out in bed, wearing the new YEEZY Boost 350 "Butter" kicks.
Kim's awkward pose, along with the utter lack of expression on her face, drew comparisons to a photos from a crime scene.
Whereas others said it reminded them of the grandma in the infamous "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!" commercials from the early 1990s.
Some said she resembled how the toys fell to the ground whenever Andy walked into the room in Toy Story.
Here's a visual to help you better appreciate how on point the comparison is.
And pretty soon, the memes were just rolling in.
When you win a marathon.
When the beat gets you.
When the anesthesia hits you all at once.
When you defeat Twister.
Some people even recreated the pose themselves.
Dogs got in on the fun too, as they have already proven to make excellent models for glamour shots.
You have to hand it to her, however, she is a marketing genius. Everyone may be mocking her now, but when sales for the new sneakers skyrocket thanks to all of this publicity, she'll be the last one laughing.
