Twitter User Creates Hilarious Paper Oscar for "Snubbed" Timothée Chalamet, Goes Viral

Why does the Academy hate this beautiful boy?!

The nominees for this year's Academy Awards were announced yesterday, and among the most egregious acting snubs by far, according to Twitter, was the fact that Timothée Chalamet wasn't nominated for his performance in Beautiful Boy.

The film, which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime, deals with the years of recovery and relapse of Nicolas Sheff (Timothée Chalamet) and the way his father (played by Steve Carell) attempts to grapple with his son's addiction to crystal meth. Carell was also snubbed, but Chalamet is the one in the film who ultimately broke our hearts, and many believe this is the second year in a row that he's been snubbed, given that he should have won for Call Me By Your Name.

Well, yesterday, Twitter user @MadisonRipley decided to right the Academy's wrong by at least presenting a paper Oscar to a cardboard cut-out of Chalamet, and it immediately went viral because we need justice!

As it turns out, she wasn't the only one with this great idea.

Chalamet fans are also already on the lookout for next year, as he'll undoubtedly be absolutely incredible in Little Women when it comes out in December 2019.

So don't worry, Timmy, your time will surely come. And for more on Hollywood's biggest night, don't miss these 19 Oscar Records You Will Not Believe.
