Justin Bieber Party Outrages Selena Gomez Fans: "I'm So Thankful I Didn't End Up With What I Thought I Wanted"

Selena Gomez fans convinced Justin Bieber is throwing shade after Hailey Bieber drama.

Justin Bieber had a star-studded 29th birthday party over the weekend that included performances from Leon Bridges and JulesTheWolf, and was attended by Billie Eilish, Jaden Smith, the Kid Laroi, and many more. As Bieber shared photos from the lavish event, rumors are swirling that he was shading his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez in the midst of yet another beef with his wife Hailey. Fans are in an uproar after the pics surfaced of party favors that read,  "I'm so thankful that I didn't end up with what I thought I wanted." But Page Six reports, "A source exclusively tells Page Six that the object containing the inscription was actually a gift given to Justin — not a party favor."

The source adds it has nothing to do with Gomez. "It's not what people want it to be about." Fans from both sides have taken to social media to voice their strong opinions and react to what many believe is another swipe at Gomez. "Very immature and this just show [sic] that his [sic] not over Selena, has to have a trinket with engraving to remind him that he doesn't love her! BUT HE DOES LOVE SELENA!" one person wrote on Facebook while reacting to an article about the party favor. "Why are Hailey & Justin so obsessed with dissing Selena? The married couple definitely are NOT as happy as they claim, if they've gotta keep throwing shade at his ex ," a second person wrote. But not everyone believes this was about Gomez. "People are just grasping at straws here. This is all so petty I can't believe people are entertaining it," one person wrote. Read on to catch up on the latest online stink and how it all started.

The pair first met back in 2009 as young teenagers and managed to keep their romance under wraps for a while. Everyone rallied around the duo and supported their relationship, however after eight years of ups and down, the two called it quits for good in 2018. Six months later, Bieber was with Hailey Baldwin (now Bieber) who he had dated briefly during one of his off times with Gomez.

Since 2018, there's always been rumors of fighting between the two, but both maintain there's no drama, but there's been reason to think there has been. In March 2019, the pop singer took to Instagram to urge fans to accept Hailey as his wife and stop trolling them about Gomez. In response to one user he wrote, "I absolutely loved and love Selena she will always hold a place in my heart, but I am head over heals in love with my wife and she is absolutely the BEST THING that has ever happened to me period. The fact that you want to spend your day dedicating yourself to hate says a lot about you, and if this was some sick ploy to get my attention U to get are wrong on so many levels I've seen multiple people say things like this and will never respond again to a message like this because I don't like to even give it my energy but this is a reply to all the immature sick people who send Hailey hurtful messages like 'he always goes back to Selena' or 'Selena is better for him' YOU HAVE NO IDEA MY LIFE AND WHAts good for me!!"  Later in 2019, Gomez released Lose You To Love Me, which many believed was to be about her ex. Hailey Bieber, posted a screenshot of Summer Walker's song "I'll Kill You" on her Instagram story, which many thought was a stab at Gomez. The model denied the post had anything to do with her husband's ex, but that still didn't stop fans from calling her out.

Shortly after Bieber posted a screenshot to Instagram of herself FaceTiming with her bestie Kylie Jenner that showed a closeup of their eyebrows. People took that as a dig to Gomez and called out the model once again, but Gomez and Jenner shut down any speculation. "This is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and i didn't see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly." Gomez echoed Jenner's thoughts, adding, "Agreed @kyliejenner. It's all unnecessary. I'm a fan of Kylie!" in the comments section according to Hollywood Life."

As if that wasn't enough drama, there's more. While Gomez attempted to put out the fire over Jenner and Bieber's TikTok, she stepped up when he came to her best friend Taylor Swift. A video resurfaced of Bieber making fun of the superstar when she was on Drop the Mic alongside her co-host Method Man. When the rapper referenced Taylor Swift's last album," Bieber pretended to gag and stuck her tongue out before rolling her eyes. To show support for her friend, in the comments section of the viral video, Gomez wrote, "So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game." Shortly after, Gomez announced another social media break, but has since returned sharing a series of pics from a fishing trip with her sister.
