This Live-In Dog Nanny Job Watching Golden Retrievers Sounds Like a Dream
This job's expectations—live in luxury and dog-sit—are a dog lover's fantasy.
If you love dogs and period dramas set in the U.K., this job listing could make all of your fantasies come true. Apparently, there's a "busy couple" who wants to pay one lucky person £30,000 to £32,000 (about $38,600 to $41,200) to be a live-in dog nanny to their two adorable golden retrievers (not pictured in the listing, sadly). And to be clear, said couple lives in a six-story townhouse in London's swanky Knightsbridge neighborhood. Not too shabby!
The listing—which was posted on Silver Swan Search, a job recruiting website—notes that the position requires some daily housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, food shopping, cooking vegan meals, running errands, greeting visitors, and taking calls. But the primary responsibility would be making sure that the couple's two dogs, Milo and Oscar, are truly living the good life.
According to the listing, the owners are "both international business people who travel frequently" and they "need someone to keep on top of the house while they come and go and to have sole responsibility of the dogs in their absence." Which means it certainly sounds like whoever gets the position will have plenty of opportunities to be more like Downton Abbey's Lady Mary than Mrs. Patmore.
Like other jobs that sound way too good to be true, this one is already going viral. And it sounds like there's heavy competition from high performers.
I would excel at this job.https://t.co/1LBlsc12rv
