It seems no matter of coincidence that anthropophobia, or the fear of people, was the most searched for phobia in the United States in 2020, according to recent data from security firm ADT. In fact, this particular fear of other humans, which couldn't be more apropos to the pandemic, comprised 22 percent of all phobia search volume, ADT said in a statement.
