Watch Kevin Hart Beat Usain Bolt in a Foot Race
Kevin Hart is now the fastest man in the world. (Well, sort of.)
Usain Bolt, 31, is famous for being dubbed the "fastest man on earth," thanks to the fact that he is the first person to hold world records in both the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash, and is an eight-time Olympic gold medalist in sprinting.
The Jamaican runner, whom the media nicknamed "Lightning Bolt," retired from the sport after the 2017 World Championships, when he finished third in his last solo 100m race.
Since June 2017, Bolt has been involved in the #GameOn challenge presented by PokerStars, in which two mismatched celebrities have to face off one another on social media, allowing fans to decide who wins each battle, the rivalry culminating in a poker game in the Bahamas at the PokerStars Championship.
Bolt's opponent is none other than the rockstar comedian Kevin Hart, which is funny because, at 6' 5", Bolt is famously tall, and, at 5' 4", Hart is famously short.
Some of their previous challenges have involved testing out their poker faces and reading their opponents' bluff. Their most recent challenge, however, was competing in a 100-meter sprint on the beach.
Now, granted, Bolt has a liiiiiitle bit of an edge over Hart in this particular challenge, so the comedian got a liiiittle bit of a head start. Since there is, as Daniel Negreanu, the host and world's highest-earning live tournament poker player, explained it, there's about a 30% difference in height between the two, so Hart got a 30 meter head start.
Shockingly, he won!
The important thing is that they both had fun with it though, as that's the true mark of sportmanship. And for more fun celebrity sports trivia, check out 12 Famous Actors You Forgot Were Once Amazing Athletes.
