This Is the State Where Your Money Is Worth the Least
It will cost you a pretty penny to be in these pricey states.

The United States is a massive country, so it makes sense that the cost of living as well as the price of goods and services would differ depending on which area you're in. Even each state varies in how far your dollar will go. Every year, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) measures real personal income by state. And according to the most recent analysis, which is based on regional price estimates from 2018, certain states offer more bang for your buck while others are burning a hole in your wallet.
The report calculates the value of $100 compared to the average national prices across all 50 states. It proves that with the same amount of money, you could buy more in an affordable state that has lower-than-average prices and have to cut back on your budget in expensive states with higher-than-average prices, especially those with big metropolitan areas that come at a premium. Here, we've ranked every state from where your money stretches the farthest to where it's worth the least.
