See Meghan Markle Wow As Briefcase Model on "Deal or No Deal"
A lot can change in a decade!
As a stunning actress who's about to marry an actual prince, 36-year-old Meghan Markle is probably the most envied woman in the world right now. Because she's going to be the first bi-racial woman to marry into the royal family, she's also breaking down major social barriers. Throw in her incredible record of humanitarian work, her successful career as an actress/lifestyle editor/fashion company founder, and you've got a majorly impressive résumé.
But that wasn't always the case. Back in 2006, she was just another aspiring actress struggling to make ends meet. She did a lot of different, unglamorous jobs in order to pay the bills, including a year as a briefcase model on the game show Deal or No Deal.

The great thing is that Markle isn't even trying to hide what some would consider an embarrassing former gig. Back in 2013, she admitted that her stint on the game show was a low point.
"I went from working in the U.S. Embassy in Argentina to ending up on Deal," she told Esquire. "I would end up standing up there forever in these terribly uncomfortable and inexpensive five-inch heels just waiting for someone to pick my number so I could go and sit down."
But she also managed to see the benefit of working there, a common trait among successful people.
"It's run the gamut. Definitely working on Deal or No Deal was a learning experience, and it helped me to understand what I would rather be doing."
So, if you happen to every find yourself struggling to make ends meet and working a job that makes you miserable, just remember that if you stay positive and keep trying, you can end up having a life more amazing than you could have ever imagined.
