See Princess Charlotte Celebrate Her First Day of Nursery School
The young royal wore the most adorable little outfit.
Kate Middleton—or, as she prefers to be known, Catherine—is having a big week and it's only Monday.
Her youngest child, Princess Charlotte, 2, fourth in line to the throne, started her first day of nursery school at Willcocks Nursery School in London on Monday.
The Duchess of Cambridge commemorated the milestone by photographing the adorable toddler on the steps of Kensington Palace with two adorable images released earlier today. When Prince George started at his new school last fall, the duchess was too ill with severe morning sickness to document the big day. Prince William accompanied their son to Thomas's in Battersea. The couple are expecting their third child in April.
In the shots, the young princess is wearing a classic red coat (which goes for £120) by upscale kids' brand Amaia Kids (which Prince George also wears) with a cashmere pink scarf, and a Cath Kidston pony 'rucksack' (backpack)—possible sign she shares her great-grandmother (and doppelganger) the Queen's love of horses.
Kate, who turns 36 tomorrow, has been the family's photographer since she broke with royal tradition and released photographs of her newborn daughter in 2015.
The duchess once interned for noted portrait photographer Alistair Morrison, who once told me, "Catherine is a very talented photographer with a keen eye and a willingness to learn about it all."
Last year, the duchess accepted a lifetime honorary membership of the Royal Photographic Society, which recognized her "talent and enthusiasm."
As for Princess Charlotte, she looks like she could do pretty much whatever she sets her mind to.
