The Secret Way Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are Preparing for Parenthood

As the saying goes, practice makes perfect.

It's no secret Prince Harry wants to be a father. Long before he met Meghan Markle, he knew he was destined to be a dad.

"I'd love to have children. There have been moments through life, especially when we do a tour abroad, when I think, 'I'd love to have kids now,'" he has said, adding he "dig[s] being around kids. I just have fun. You never know what they're going to say."

According to Palace insiders, Harry and Meghan are practicing their parenting skills on Prince George and Princess Charlotte and baby Prince Louis—with Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge's blessing.

Harry got a serious case of baby fever after William and Kate started having kids. Now that he and Meghan are living at Kensington Palace, and are neighbors with his brother and sister-in-law, he has grown even closer to George, Charlotte, and Louis.

Royal insiders tell me Harry has become more than the "fun uncle" these days and is spending more time helping out with the children, especially Prince Louis, "to get a real sense of what it's like to be around a new baby. He's even pitched in to change a nappy or two."

"Harry admires the way William has been a hands-on father to his children and very much plans on being the way same," said my source. "He's talked about the responsibilities of fatherhood with William and values his advice. Harry has more freedom than William, so he's looking forward to devoting as much time as possible to a baby. He loves babies."

Both Meghan and Harry have reportedly spent a lot of time visiting William and Kate's apartment and have even babysat the children on occasion. "Meghan is very maternal and she loves to be around George and Charlotte and now Louis. That is one of the things that really made her fall in love with Harry. He is such a natural around children, because he's just a big kid himself."

Meghan has been known to stop by with homemade treats for the kids. "She's a brilliant cook and the children are always excited to see what she's brought them," said my source. "They are going to be brilliant parents." And if you're curious about when that may happen, check out the Signs Meghan Markle Could Be Pregnant.
