The Most Shocking Photos of Trump Supporters Storming the U.S. Capitol

A mob of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol during the election certification process.

As Congress prepared to certify President-elect Joe Biden's victory against sitting President Donald Trump, a mob of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on the afternoon of Jan. 6, causing some of the country's most prominent lawmakers to lockdown and evacuate. One woman, who has not been identified, was shot and killed during the rioting. Americans watched on in horror at the domestic terrorism unfolding on their televisions and computer screens. Later, on the evening of Jan. 6, the Capitol was cleared and Congress reconvened for a joint session to confirm the results of the election, which Trump has repeatedly challenged, claiming voter fraud.

Here are some of the most stunning images from the events of Jan. 6 that will forever be etched in many Americans' minds. And for more on Trump, check out The Real Reason President Trump Hasn't Gotten the COVID Vaccine Yet.
