Oprah Winfrey Just Revealed What Meghan Markle Sent Her For Christmas
The talk show host said if she'd had it sooner, "I would've added it to my Favorite Things list."
What do you get the woman who has everything? Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seemed to have selected the perfect gift for their new neighbor, Oprah Winfrey, who was thrilled to show off what she got from the Duchess of Sussex in a new video on her Instagram. "On the first day of Christmas my neighbor 'M' sent to me…a basket of deliciousness!" she posted. Oprah doesn't name Meghan in the video, but her "M" accompanied by a crown emoji in the caption leaves little doubt the duchess was thoughtful gift-giver.
In the Instagram video, Oprah checks out the bounty in the basket, which includes packets of Clevr SuperLatte blends (including Matcha, Chai, and Golden) and demonstrates how to make up a cup. "Wish I had @clevrblends sooner cause I would've added it to my Favorite Things list," she wrote in the caption, referring to her annual holiday gift guide.
The media mogul praised the beverage, which costs $28 a bag, as "my new drink of choice for the morning and night." Her favorite? The Golden SuperLatte, which includes turmeric. As an avid foodie, it's no surprise Meghan sent a basket of her favorite foods and coffees to Oprah since she filled her now-defunct blog, The Tig, with posts about healthy foods and nutrition. In a 2015 interview with The Chalkboard about living well, Meghan even called out turmeric for its "unbelievable healing properties."

Meghan and Harry have been friendly with Oprah for years.

Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, has been a guest at Oprah's sprawling home where they spent the afternoon doing yoga on the lawn. Oprah told ET Doria left with a basket kumquats and joked, "For all of the people who said I am getting her gifts and I'm trying to bribe her for an interview—they were kumquats. Meghan and Harry moved to Montecito, the same town as Oprah.
In August, Meghan and Harry found their forever home: a sprawling California complex located in the celebrity haven of Montecito in Santa Barbara, where Oprah also calls home. "This gives every indication that Harry and Meghan have no intention of ever returning to the royal family fold," a Palace insider told me at the time of the nearly $15 million mansion. Oprah may be giving Meghan advice since she's returned to California.
Perhaps Meghan's gift is also a "thank you" for Oprah's advice on building her media presence since returning to her home state of California. Since the royal couple moved into Oprah's California neighborhood this summer, Meghan has been making plenty of news with television appearances. On Sunday, she was the surprise guest CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute and she also made an appearance on America's Got Talent, praising a contestant who shared the same first name as her son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. She and Harry also were part of a television special in September celebrating the Time 100 (seen here), and the duchess was also widely praised for revealing her miscarriage in a thoughtful piece published in The New York Times in November.
