The Real Reason Why Prince Harry's Tell-All May "Never See the Light of Day"

There is one person who could bail Harry out.

For the past few years, a reconciliation between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the rest of the Royal Family seemed unlikely. After their bombshell Megxit from the United Kingdom, followed by the former Suits star's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and recent no-holds-barred New York Magazine cover story, paired with their multi-million-dollar deals with Spotify and Netflix and Harry's upcoming tell-all, the couple seemed to be undeterred in their mission to tell their side of the story. However, the death of Harry's beloved grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, unexpectedly brought Harry and Meghan back into the orbit of the family. Now, some experts believe that the Prince is having second thoughts about publishing his memoir and that it will never see the light of day.

Royal biographer and author of The Diana Chronicles and The Palace Papers, Tina Brown, believes there is a good chance that Prince Harry's upcoming memoir will never make it to bookshelves. The book, which was expected to be published prior to the holiday season, would keep him from ever being welcomed back into the family, she says.

"They are now in this bind, where they've taken all this money and Harry has made this book deal where he's supposed to spill everything about his horrible life as a royal, but now he's actually tortured about it because he understands there is no way back if he does it," Brown explains.

Brown, the former editor of Tatler and Vanity Fair, explains that Harry has recently gotten more concerned about the ramifications of the book. "If the book continues, I don't think there is any way for Harry to return. So my view has always been that the book won't see the light of day," she continues.

Obviously, the money Harry accepted for the book would be his biggest concern about shelving it for good. However, she points out that his father could help keep it out of public absorption. "The window is beginning to close but I always thought at some point a deal would be made and Charles would have to pay back the advance to stop Harry writing this book," she says.

She also adds that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are poor by Hollywood standards, which is why Meghan is attempting to upgrade their home in Montecito. "In Montecito, where they live, their $14 million mansion is a humble cottage compared to what these other people have," she points out. "Yes, and at some point it might be more than a new house she's looking for. Elon Musk is still single, that's all I have to say."
