Pedro Pascal's Sister Says He Helped Her Come Out as a Transgender Woman
The Mandalorian star's sibling Lux Pascal says he's been an "important part" of her journey.
The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal and his sister Lux Pascal are getting a lot of love on social media right now. Lux, who is 28, just came out publicly as a transgender woman. And not only did her big brother Pedro, 45, share messages of celebration and love for her on his Instagram, he also was a key piece of Lux fully understanding and accepting her identity. Lux came out in a cover story in the Spanish language magazine Ya.
In her interview with the Chilean magazine, Lux explained that her family has accepted her transition as "very natural." She had previously come out to them as nonbinary, but later came to understand that she's a woman.
"Moving through the world as a woman is much more simple for me, but I still advocate for nonbinary identities to have a space in society," Lux said, per a translation via ET Online.

She named her brother as someone who inspired her to live her truth.
Lux told the publication that while her whole family seemed to view her coming out as "almost something that they expected to happen," her brother Pedro in particular "has been an important part of this."
"He's also an artist and has served as a guide for me," she continued. "He was one of the first people to gift me the tools that started shaping my identity."
Lux came out to the Narcos star over a FaceTime call. She said she remembers him asking how she was feeling. When Lux confirmed that she was happy, Pedro said, "Perfect, this is incredible."

Pedro blasted his social media followers with proud messages about his sister.
The actor shared Lux's cover on Instagram on Tuesday with the caption, "Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux." That translates to, "My sister, my heart, our Lux." He also posted more photos from the piece to his Instagram Story, tagging his sister and her team. Among the many, many happy and positive replies from his followers were comments from Wonder Woman 1984 co-star Gal Gadot, Sense8 actor Jamie Clayton, and Mandalorian co-star Amy Sedaris.

Lux is following her brother into acting.
Along with sharing that she began hormone treatments in the summer of 2020, Lux also told Ya that she's attending the Julliard School in New York and studying acting. The Ya spread proves that she's comfortable in front of a camera, so her fans and cheerleaders will no doubt be eager to see what she does next.
