Elon Musk's Fans Spend $600K For His Bizarre Monument That Looks Like a Goat With A Human Head Riding A Rocket
It was “an incredible challenge.”
Canadian Elon Musk fans have shown their appreciation for the new owner and CEO of Twitter by building a 30-ft-long monument to their hero. The aluminum monument shows Musk's head on the body of a goat riding a rocket, crafted by Canadian metal sculptors Kevin and Michelle Stone.
"We built Elon Musk a $600,000 monument on the back of a semi-trailer in honor of his many accomplishments and commitment to Cryptocurrency," said Elon GOAT Token ($EGT). Here's how the monument was created and what will happen to it.
The monument was commissioned by Elon GOAT Token ($EGT), who plan on presenting Musk with the statue on November 26 at his Tesla office in Austin, Texas. "Most people thought we would never do it, but after one year of building the time has come to bring it home to Elon," $EGT says in a statement. "Really we just want to meet the guy and give it to him. After all, he is the most innovative human alive, hence the GOAT – Greatest Of All Time." Keep reading to learn more and see the video.
The sculpture is worth a huge amount of money. "We built Elon Musk a $600,000 monument on the back of a semi-trailer in honor of his many accomplishments and commitment to Cryptocurrency," the statement adds. The sculpture has been touring around several US states since completion, so if you thought you saw a giant Elon Musk head driving down the street, it wasn't just your imagination.
Kevin and Michelle Stone have been working on the giant Musk head since January. Kevin typically works with steel, but the Musk head is covered in high-heat aluminum tape. "Because of the heat, the glue melted into where I'm welding and then it contaminates it and then I can't weld it," Kevin said back in May 2022. "So now I'm having to go back where those bad areas are and try to clean the glue out of there and then re-weld it… [it was] an incredible challenge. It's very tedious, but it turned out pretty good for aluminum."
Michelle Stone worked on Musk's facial features, putting 50 pieces of aluminum in each ear. "It's just like a puzzle,' she said. "You have to make that piece fit, not only on top and the bottom, but on the sides as well and all the curves. It was difficult, but I really enjoyed it. I feel good about it… I actually helped with the fabrication part of it."

700 hours of work later, and the sculpture was completed. "I built Elon and how many people can actually make metal look like somebody?" Kevin says. "Usually a metal face just kinda looks like a metal face, it doesn't actually look like somebody. I'm pretty proud of it because it totally looks like him… I wish I had more time to work on him, but he needs to be in Arizona to get mounted on a rocket. I could easily spend another three months working on him."
