This Man's Sweet Gesture Will Make You Believe in Second Chances at Love
One man's trash really is another man's treasure.
One of the unexpected upsides of divorce is that you realize that something that used to annoy your spouse can actually be something that endears you to someone else. Take Jodi Lyn Stanowick, for example. On Twitter this week, her daughter, Ana Stanowick, shared a photo of Jodi's boyfriend, Brad Davis, as he put up a display shelf for her mug collection. But there's more to it than that: Jodi's ex-husband used to criticize her for adding to her mug collection, while Brad built her a ceiling-high shelf to display them.
my dad used to get so mad every time my mom would come home w a new coffee mug (she likes to collect them) and her new bf literally built her a wall to display her collection. this is why we don't settle for loser boys, ladies!!!!! pic.twitter.com/BZQmfcVHuC

The tweet, which Ana posted on Wednesday, has gained more than 180,00 retweets in just two days with people gushing over Jodi's second chance at love.
"I have been collecting mugs since I was 16," Jodi said when reached by phone. "Each of my mugs has its own story, [I] always remember where I got it and who gave it to me."
"Her mug obsession is cute and quirky," Ana added over the phone. "It makes her happy and her boyfriend embraces it."
Brad and Linda have been together since 2015, and it's safe to say that their relationship has been a real blessing in disguise. Brad lost his wife of 30 years in an accident, Jodi noted. "I was blessed enough to connect with Brad. I had known him a long time ago, and we reconnected after his wife passed away," she said. "We were old friends."
Now, their relationship—and Ana's tweet—is inspiring other people to share stories of how meeting someone new after divorce can completely change your perspective.
I LOVE this. My dad used to literally never move from the couch and make my mom do everything for him. Her new boyfriend is constantly trying to help her and do things for her and she has no idea what to with herself! It's so sweet to watch.

Ana wasn't expecting her tweet to go so viral, but she's glad it did. "The picture was actually sent in my family group chat because my mom and her boyfriend just moved in together," she said. "I thought it was so cute, so I wanted to post it for my friends to see. A lot of my friends know my mom, so I thought they would enjoy seeing how happy she is with her boyfriend." Who doesn't love a happy ending?
