Catherine Zeta-Jones & Michael Douglas Honor Kirk Douglas' 103rd Birthday
The social media tributes poured in for living legend Kirk Douglas, who's 103!
On Dec. 9, actor Kirk Douglas celebrated his 103rd birthday. And to commemorate this momentous milestone, his daughter-in-law, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and son, Michael Douglas, posted heartwarming throwback photos and messages on Instagram.
Zeta-Jones posted a photo of her and her father-in-law, along with the caption, "This guy on my knee, is 103!!!!! Happy Birthday Pappy!!! I love you with all my heart."

And of course, the younger Douglas got in on the social media celebrating, too, wishing his father a happy birthday in not one, but two posts. "You are a living legend and your entire family sends you all the love in their hearts," Douglas posted along with an old photo of him kissing his father on the forehead.
Douglas then posted another black-and-white photo of the two of them together, along with a nod to his Golden Globe nomination on Monday and an expression of gratitude over being able to make his father proud on his 103rd birthday.
Having broken out as a box-office star in the 1950s, the elder Douglas is revered as one of the last surviving icons of the Golden Age of Hollywood, so the tributes to him poured in on Twitter as well.
Join me in wishing #KirkDouglas a very HAPPY 103rd BIRTHDAY!❤️

Age is in the mind. I've survived a helicopter crash and back surgery. I have a pacemaker. I had a stroke that almost made me commit suicide. But I tell myself, I have to continue growing and functioning. That's the only antidote for age.
