Golden Globe nominations were announced on Feb. 3, and with that came a slew of reactions—both positive and negative. While many nominees cheerfully and tearfully celebrated their acknowledgment from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, one star seemed more overwhelmed by the honor than others. Following nomination announcements, Cuoco posted two videos of her reacting to the news. Cuoco was nominated for Best Television Actress in a Musical/Comedy Series for her role on The Flight Attendant. The first video shows Cuoco anxiously waiting to see if her name will be called. Once it is, she burst into tears. The only words Cuoco can get out are intermittent "oh my god"s and "I can't believe it." In the second video, Cuoco is seen celebrating the series' nomination for Best Musical/Comedy Series.

The Flight Attendant has received ample praise from critics.
The Flight Attendant, which premiered on HBO Max in Nov. 2020, was the streamer's number one series during its run, per Deadline. The show has a 98 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes and has already been renewed for a second season, despite being conceived as a miniseries. Reviews for The Flight Attendant were overwhelmingly positive, with Vox calling it an "absurd, sadistic joy" of a show, and NPR describing it as a "fizzy, dark, and funny mystery." Cuoco's nomination for The Flight Attendant is her first major award nomination after decades in the business. She starred as Penny on The Big Bang Theory for 12 seasons, but was never nominated for the role.
