This Is Why Everyone's Making Fun of Justin Trudeau

#Peoplekind hath spoken.

Justin Trudeau may be touted as the perfect man by women everywhere, but even he's capable of error.

During a Q&A at MacEwan University recently, a woman in the audience asked the Canadian Prime Minister whether or not the Canadian government could make it easier to volunteer with religious organizations.

"So, that's why we came here today," said the woman, who is reportedly affiliated with the World Mission Society Church of God, "to ask you, to also look into the policies that religious charitable organizations have in our legislation so that it can also be changed because maternal love is the love that's going to change the future of mankind."

At that point, Trudeau interrupted her by taking umbrage with the language she was using.

"We like to say 'peoplekind,' not necessarily 'mankind,' because it's more inclusive," he said.

The audience clapped, ostensibly because Trudeau, who is a vocal supporter of women's rights, was making a point that fits in well with the feminist lexicon.

However, several women expressed disapproval of his tactics, arguing that he was essentially interrupting a woman in order to "mansplain" feminism to her.

"Justin Trudeau is the Kim Kardashian of political leaders… a Zoolander character whose really, really ridiculously good looks no longer distract from his appalling judgment or capacity for asinine comment," journalist Rita Panahi wrote in response to the comment.

Various other social media users also mocked the moment in general as an example of political correctness gone mad.

"The big thing about Trudeau's #peoplekind comment is that it's not a word. It's not in any dictionary," writer J.J. McCullough wrote on Twitter. "The man is so painfully politically correct he literally invented a new word just to chew out some woman. But I guess it was also her fault for asking him a question."

"Tune in to Canada next week when Justin Trudeau officially makes spelling out "women" illegal, replacing it with "womyn," Daily Wire contributor Harry Khachatrian joked.

It's OK, though! Better to stumble from trying too hard than not try at all. And for some words we should definitely all not say, here are 40 Things No Man Over 40 Should Ever Say.
